Akai Portable 4 Band Retro FM Radio, 14 W - Cream

I just love this retro style radio! Sound is excellent! I put it on everyday to My Favourite Radio Channel! Really good sound! I Love it!

Good design. Feels a bit plasticy and hollow. Picks up DAB in my kitchen where others have struggled. Makes a background humming noise though which is a bit annoying.

Whilst it does look very good it is a made of cheap plastic and feels like it. Can't get the radio to store the time and date (so useless as an alarm clock), the instruction manual does actually tell you how to operate the thing (i.e. how to preset channels, what the info button is for, how to set the time and date so it stores) other than how to turn it on, auto tune it and to set the alarm. Have had it for two days and the thing wont actually turn on anymore and the standby button seems a bit defective as it wont put the radio on standby but will turn it on - i.e. the only way to turn it off is the shut it down completely - I suspect the alarm then wont work. So all in all I am very disappointed, especially as can't seem to find an actual instruction manual for it online either. On the plus side, arrived on time!

as expected,made in china and thus broken in the box;on/off button and the front dial do not work.Front dial is probably just for the looks because FM stations have to be searched with top buttons.The on/off button on the other hand is needed to do as it says but I had to keep this one depressed for the radio to operate.Good looking radio... but crappy materials were used.Radio will be returned for full refund.

Radio is real nice, I do have a bush original but for some reason you can't get the batter's. But this is just as good looking as the my original. Great sound. 10/10.

Easy to use and very attractive. Cheaply made and sound quality was poor for DAB radio. Returned and bought another from a local shop for the same price and much much better quality.
