OXO Good Grips Silicone Shower & Tub Drain Protector

Great product, I honestly cannot give it enough credit. I’ve been using it for the last 3 years and 8 months, and it’s still going strong. It hasn’t developed any smell, hasn’t lost its shape, and the color looks just like new. I keep it in my shower and it works perfectly. It stays in place, doesn’t move around even with water running over it, and no hair gets past it while the water drains smoothly.Cleaning it is super easy; I only give it a quick clean once every few months and that’s more than enough. At first, it did seem a bit expensive compared to the cheaper alternatives on the market, but I’m so glad I went for this one. The quality speaks for itself it’s durable, reliable, and looks like it will last for many more years. Even after all this time, the price hasn’t changed, which says a lot about the consistency of the brand.I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It does its job perfectly, just as described, and has exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommended!

I will upload a picture/video later but this thing fit so snugly and perfectly, at a glance you would think it's how the shower was supposed to be like!Functionwise it does the job and catches hair as it's supposed to. The silicone edges makes it stable and ensures that the filter doesn't move around. And the multiple holes/angle of the filter makes it not collect water.It's extremely easy to clean, just wipe away the caught hair with a tissue and it all easily falls off.The previous pre-built filter had a housing that encouraged bacteria growth, so it was a nightmare to clean. Because this is much more breathable, the whole thing should not catch as much bacteria as the plastic alternative.

I purchased this item as I was fed up with clearing the blocked shower drain with a plunger and drain cleaner. I live in a household with two ladies, both of whom wash their hair in the shower. The inevitable result is that within a week of regular use the shower tray starts to fill up with water and won't drain away as it is blocked with fine hair which the standard shower strainer will not catch.I decided to give the OXO a go as a quick and cheap remedy. If it didn't work then nothing was lost!I replaced the standard drainer with OXO and what a difference! The OXO catches the fine hair very easily and the advantage is that you can see the hair accumulating on its top face. The OXO is very easy to clean as one can push the hair off the filter with one's fingers and then rinse the soap scum off. A first class, simple product that works really well.In my shower tray it is possible to accidentally push the OXO off the drain with one's foot as there is no securing mechanism to keep it in place but it's a small point otherwise I would have given it 5 stars!

Removed the modern chrome trap from shower, and the basket underneath.. laborious job keeping that clean.. these Oxo pads fit perfectly over the shower drain, hair collects on the top, quick wipe with a bit of toilet paper.. and no more clogged drains or stinky cleaning job.The Oxo discs are very well made. The rubber grip round the edge stops them moving out of place, and a solidly built.

Excellent quality! I bought this one year ago and it's still in excellent conditions.It does the job and it's easy to clean.

I bought this for our shower as the drain hasn’t got a filter to block hair.It fits our drain perfectly. The silicon bit helps it stay in place. After a few days of use, I believe it was able to catch all the hair. It’s very easy to remove the hair from the filter, thanks to the metallic smooth surface.It does affect water flow slightly. But I think it would if you put any filter on top of the drain.Very happy purchase!

So my shower is at the opposite end of the drainage, and I think that's something relevant. Because maybe that's why the water and soap don't go through easily.Yes, it looks amazing and it feels like good quality, and yes it keeps all the hair from going through. But yes, it also keeps the soap floating in the tub and the water takes ages to go. So in the end, I need to take it off and let everything go through (with some hairs, unfortunately).But I guess if you have the shower head right above it, there shouldn't be any problem? As the pressure of the water will help the flow.

Does a great job for my shower which is in my bath. It covers the pop up plug perfectly. Doesn’t look too ugly either.
