Review Thrilling, sexy and heart-wrenching, Archeangel's Blade is one of the best paranormal romances of the year ... Prepare to be captivated... 5 stars (LOVEVAMPIRES.COM) Book Description New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh takes us back into a dangerous and exhilarating world where a deadly, beautiful archangel and his once-mortal consort are caught in a fury of twisted darkness . . . About the Author Nalini Singh was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. She spent three years living and working in Japan, and travelling around Asia before returning to New Zealand now - although she's always plotting new trips. She has worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher, not necessarily in that order. Some people might call that inconsistency, but she calls it grist for the writer's mill. You can learn more by visiting www.nalinisingh.com or by following @NaliniSingh on twitter.

As always a stunning installment of the world of the Cadre
As always Nalini Singh has done it again with another stunning installment in the world of the Cadre, bringing us up to speed with all that has happened in the time since the Cascade with such a sense of presence that it doesn’t feel like any time has passed at all.Archangel’s Heart is the 9th main book in the series and it brings together characters we know and love from previous books – Elena, Raphael, Bluebell, Aodhan, Dmitri and The Seven, the other members of The Cadre including two previous sleeping Ancients – and as I mentioned above it feels like no time has passed. We dive straight back into the Archangel of New York and his Hunter consort’s lives as the effects of the Cascade and the Falling still hit New York at random; we are cordially invited to a meeting of a new entity in the Archangel world – previously unmentioned – The Luminata who are a sacred sect of “monks” based in a far off compound called Lumia. What seems to be a simply religious/enlightened sect instead turns out to be one bred of nightmares with secrets meant to be kept hidden from any who could discover them. Elena – being the hunter consort – that she is, makes it her mission to uncover the secrets being hidden in Lumia as well the potential location of her Grandmother who is believed to have lived in the area. What follows is a story of love, betrayal, reunion and absolute power that has corrupted absolutely. The Luminata are supposed to elect a new leader every 50 years but the current leader Gian (nice name, not such a nice angel) has ruled for far longer than he should have and this ultimate ruling seems to have corrupted his mind. But as absolute power corrupts absolutely he has dragged several members of the Luminata down into the depths or corruption with him – including stealing humans from the local town for their own carnal desires.Caliane in this book has this extra otherworldly power that I loved, her voice to sing has definitely improved and its power has increased. Alexander is another force to be reckoned with and he uses this power sparingly. There are a few new characters – Laric and Ibrahim – who I feel will be integral to the next books (Archangel’s Viper I’m looking at you here and hoping) Laric will be an integral character to Aodhan’s well-being particularly after the issues with Bluebell.Archangel’s Heart has been a long awaited read for me – I’ve had it for months but haven’t got around to it – and I’m pleased beyond anything that this was such a strong installment to what is definitely one of my favourite series. The plot line was not one that I expected but I’m glad that Nalini hasn’t deviated from the Lijuan story arc and that this will continue until they find out what actually happened to her. Also? Storms.

Intriguing storyline
This is mainly about Raphael and Elena. When oh when are we going to get Aodan and Illium's stories? The back stories about those two makes me wonder if they're going to get together as Quinn and Blay in Black Dagger Brotherhood? I was slightly disappointed that their story is not the next in series as they did not part well when Aodan left with Raphael and Elena to Lumina where all the Cadre have been summoned to discuss what to do about Lijuan's territory which is falling into blood lust since her disappearance. Elena takes the opportunity to see if she can find out anything about her family by exploring the vast archives kept by the Luminata brotherhood. I will never tire of stories of Raphael and Elena, he has to be one of my all time favourite male chatacters.

I love Nalini Singh
I love Nalini Singh!! So it hurts me to do this, this was not a good book. It seemed rushed as if she needed to create a filler novel before we got to the good stuff. ( Cough Cough Illium)Everything was predictable with no real obstacle. It is a great snap shot of where our heroes and favorite characters are before the real plot development happens. This book as a stand alone falls flat. Nevertheless, eagerly awaiting the next installment.

I've loved Elena and Raphael's story and in this book
From the first book in the series, I've loved Elena and Raphael's story and in this book, it just keeps growing.Called to a meeting, involving all members of the Cadre, Elena knows something is wrong from the second she sets foot inside the mystery building they have been called to, add to that the stranger Angels who are in charge, Elena knows something isn't right.Following her hunter-born instincts, Elena unearths a horrible truth, finds a key to her past and saves more than one life.A wonderful story and a great addition to a fantastic series.

Loved it
I'm still loving this series. I'm always torn between staying with Elena and Raphael and reading more about the other characters around them. I love all of them.In this book, we're back with Elena and Raphael dealing with the next big crisis. As always with this series, in this book we have a good mixture of things going on and plenty of story, and also the love story with this couple (both the steamy and the warm fuzzy aspect). We also got to see more of Aodhan - getting to know him better before we eventually get his story.I loved this book and couldn't put it down.

It just gets better and better
Going from strength to strength this Guild Hunter series. Thoroughly enjoyed the execution of the author's vision so much so that closer to the ending I could not put it down had to read to the very end! Ended up going to sleep around 3am but it was worth it.Really satisfying watching all the characters grow and develop especially Elena and Raphael. The family angle is what keeps it truly going. Looking forward to see if dad and daughter ever get it together

Love, love, love.
Absolutely love Nalini's Guild Hunter series. Unfortunately I couldn't get into the Psy-Changeling novels, but that wasn't in any way a deterrent of these books. The characters have such depth and are written with such passion. It's clear Nalini has an in-depth bond with each and every character, and she understands just how they work.Elena-Mine. Hannahbelle.I found myself smiling and laughing and weeping throughout this book. It's so, so rare that I get such a strong emotional attachment to anything. The fact I've bonded with this book series just floods me with happiness. It's crazy!Five stars all the way, and I seriously do shove these books under the noses of anyone who will listen.

Not the best
This is not her best book. the story line was very predictable, didn't hold much interest and didn't really add anything to the story. It would have been better as a short story/ novella rather than a full blown book.

A little disappointed with this one
I'm a huge fan of everything Guild Hunter and the wonderful writing of Nalini Singh but overall I found this book rather boring and a bit of a disappointment. The plot had a lot of potential for action and an opportunity to get to know a lot of the other characters especially Illium and Aodan and members of the cadre better but it fails to do so. I have a feeling the author is setting a lot of stories up for another book. Because many times during the book Elena begins to hear tidbits to a backstory of a character such as Illium's relationship with Aodan, his history, the Hummingbird, etc. only to read Elena's thoughts saying "if I wanted to know more about <insert story> I'll have to wait for <insert name> to tell me later. It focuses a lot on Elena and Raphael's bond and their unconditional love which I enjoyed overall but all other characters and stories seemed to be there as an afterthought or to simply reinforce to the reader Elena and Raphael's strong relationship. The main plot and secrets Elena learns as well as the motivation behind the bad guy in this book were shaky at best and based on a lot of very convenient coincidences.

Well written as usual
I love this series and I live Nalini's writing but as much as I enjoyed this story it was a bit disappointing.Mostly because it felt like it didn't move the arc forward by any significant measure. Also, the strength and steadfastness of Elena's and Rafe's relationship doesn't lend itself well to an emotional tension I like in Nalini's romances. There just wasn't any uncertainty about if they'll be ok or not. And how is that a romance then?So this was a wonderfully written Urban Fantasy story. Not so good as a romance.Despite the many mushy moments...I think I've had enough of E and R as full-length romance couple. I loved Nassir's book a lot more - just because his growing connection and feelings for Andi were a work of beauty. Not to mention, the story actually moved the arc along at a very good pace, revealing a lot of new info.Despite my griping - if Nalini writes another Archangel story with E and R as the main couple, I'll still buy it and probably enjoy it.Because she is, without a doubt, a great story teller and her worldbuilding is increadible.

Slower than the other books, but still nice.
While I enjoyed the last couple of books, it is great to have another book that centers around Elena and Raphael. And though I would consider this a slower book on the larger scale of things, the way the arc of suspense was built was awesome. Hitting the second half of the book I couldn't stop reading. Finding out about Elena's grandparents was very interesting. I hope there will be more of them in future books.I'm not sure what to make of Lijuan's absence. Is she truly asleep or only licking her wounds? But hey, books don't have to reveal all their secrets. That would be boring ;)

Nalini Singh does it again, as always
I love reading about the love story between Raphael and Elena through out this series. It is truly an original story. Add to that the over arching story of the Archangels, the suspense is amazing. I have never read any thing quite like Nalini's stories. I can't get enough. For an added bonus, if you read Kindle books, all of the Guild Hunter Series are under $10.By the way, start at the beginning with Angel's Blood they can stand alone, but part of the charm is the background story. You won't be disappointed.

Archangel’s Heart
What an amazing read, such a page turner, I was completely hooked from the get go, there were definitely quite a few defining moments throughout the story that gave me goosebumps. Brilliant story writing at its best. It is true what the synopsis said nothing will ever be the same again. Cannot wait for the next chapter in this amazing paranormal romance series from Nalini Singh!

Suspenseful and passionate plot.
Another great addition to the GuildHunters series. This time the majority of the book is set in Morocco and delves into Elena’s family history and is juxtaposed with a meeting of the cadre of the archangels deciding how to deal with a disintegrating China.

Not much happens. I still loved it.
I received notification of this being available at 11:30pm. I knew I shouldn't open it... but I did. Every chapter, I promised myself, would be the last one, but the story kept sucking me in and drawing it out. I love the style of writing and the relationships explored in this book. True, it doesn't further the overarching plot of the series, but I enjoyed reading nonetheless, and am happy to reread it as well.

The heart of the series
Archangels fighting for the rights of people in another wonderful Nalini Singh novel. This novel focuses on Rapheal and Elena's journey in Morocco and readers learn more about the inner workings of the Cadre. New characters, who will should play an integral role in Elena's future are introduced, and bolster her future with her family.

Very enjoyable
I enjoy this series very much. The Guild Hunter novels introduced me Nalini Singh & the rest of the books she has written. This series is my favorite, totally improbable but takes me to another world which is where I want to be for the time it takes me to read it. Excellent writing skills & interesting characters.

Sehr gute Serie

No decepción
Leído en inglés porque parece que no se van a publicar en inglés por lo menos en un periodo corto de tiempo.. y a veces apetece saber cómo continúa la saga
