La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Hand Cream for dry and chapped hands 50ml

I've tried many hand creams but since perimenopause, my hands have become so dry that even the usual Aveeno moisturising cream with colloidal oatmeal doesn't cut it anymore. Very pleased to try this Cicaplast hand cream because it surpasses Aveeno in its ability to moisturise very dry hands. I'm prone to eczema and my hands often break out in small patches of pompholyx, and I've found this cream very hydrating for the dry, pompholyx areas on my hand. It also has great longevity - hours after application, after several hand washes, I can still feel a thin layer of this product on my hands. It feels very thick and rich and just a tiny bit is enough for both hands. It also smells a lot nicer than the Aveeno even though it's fragrance free. Really a step up from Aveeno.

Since the beginning of “the Big C”, my once sturdy and time/element resistant hands began to exhibit redness and rashes with all the hand washing and anti-bacs we were ordered to use. It was brutal. My hands were peeling, itching, red and so painful. I developed dermatitis. Not pretty. I got some relief with an herbal remedy, but it did not clear it up completely. I tried lots of products over the two and a half years of “the Big C” (with varied results, Nursem came close) and I was still suffering bouts of dermatitis off and on. In yet another frustrating search I found this product. I bought it based on the reviews, not expecting much (as other products I had bought previously had also been favourably reviewed). Within one application, my hands felt instant relief. Within two days, all the pain and itching and redness was gone! Now, every time, my hands get irritated, I reach quickly for the tube of Cica Mains. This stops my reaction completely. (The smaller tube fits perfectly in one’s handbag for travel). Very effective product, indeed! Hope you find relief with this as well. Worth every penny and it won’t take a huge amount of applications to work its magic. Oily or not (one criticism someone had) it works. I found it to be a nice consistency and it was not oily on my hands at all. (Shake the tube before applying, maybe?)

Excellent hand cream, You only need a very small amount though as can feel greasy, maybe a little expensive but will last a while been great on my dry sensitive skin.

Amazing!! I've been going through some treatments which has made my hands extremely dry. Within three days my hands are much softer and less itchy.It's quite an oily consistency, so I use quite sparingly.

This effective but no-frills hand balm saved my chapped hands when nothing else did. I tried lots of other far more expensive and fancy creams, and this was the only one I was impressed with.It’s a semi-transparent balm that you work into the skin but it’s much softer and easy to absorbed than the Norwegian brand one. It continues to moisturise even after a few hand washes, so you don’t need to reapply it often.Personally, I’d love it to be scented, but that would compromise its effectiveness for those sensitive to those chemicals.

This product is amazing. It has literally saved my hands! After suffering for years with very sore, chapped, irritated and itchy skin on my hands I’ve finally found a product that works. I have awful contact dermatitis on my hands that can make it very painful to wash my hands or even to extend my fingers. Doctors have given me creams and steroid creams that don’t really work (not a fan of steroid creams anyway as they thin your skin).This cream is amazing because it moisturises and soothes the dryness/ itchiness on your hands but also protects your skin. I apply after washing my hands every time but don’t have to use a lot as the previous layer is still present. I would strongly recommend for anybody with sore or dry hands, even if you have sought medical advice like myself.My only regret is that I didn’t take before and after pictures! I’ve been using for a few months and my hands are so much better almost beyond recognition. I can’t recommend enough and have been extremely impressed with the range of La Roche-Possay products for my whole family. Worth every single penny!
