Affordable workhorse that outperforms its competition
This little guy is a workhorse. While it doesn't exactly get the corners, it gets about 95% of the debris in the pool. I have to do very minimum clean up behind it. Easy to set up. Easy to operate and gets to work straight out of the box. No cords, battery life is great and the body of it is rugged and can withstand bumps. My pool gets plenty of sun so this thing can probably run for a long time.

Best Pool Robot in the History of Mankind
The Betta-SE robot is by far the single best pool product I've ever bought. It worked tirelessly all last summer and started back up right away this spring. It does a far better job of keeping my pool clean than my expensive, commercial-grade pool robot that I use to clean the bottom of the pool. The Betta-SE catches most things on the surface of the pool before they sink to the bottom. The Betta-SE is an incredibly simple, well-engineered machine. The paddle wheel in the front scoops up debris into a large basket inside, and the propellers in the back keep it moving and turning to get full coverage of the pool in a very short period. It has a spot inside the basket to put a 3" chlorine puck so you don't need to use a separate float for it. To empty the robot, you simply disengage the latch in the front and pull out the basket using the large handle, making it easy to avoid touching any gross items caught in the basket. The solar cells power the robot running on any given summer day that isn't completely overcast, and the batteries keep it running well into the evening after the sun is down. The Betta-SE has extendable feet on the bottom that keep it from getting stuck on any stairs in the pool. The engineers really thought of everything on this robot!I've only had two minor issues on this robot that are hardly worth mentioning. One of the extendable feet fell off at some point and got lost. No big deal. And on one or two occasions over the course of the entire year, the robot stopped running. I simply had to turn the power switch off and on again, and it powered up right away.In short, if you have a pool, buy the Betta-SE!

I Don’t Usually Write Reviews, but This One Deserves My Feedback because I love it!!!!
This cleaner is amazing and such a huge time saver. It was ready to use straight out of the box—no setup needed. It just runs quietly, does its job, and leaves the pool sparkling clean. I don’t usually run it overnight, but you absolutely could. The only time I take it out is when we’re swimming or to clean it.When the pool is full of bugs and leaves—I just drop it in and forget it. By the time we’re ready to swim, everything is clean and clear.I decided to buy one after my neighbor recommended it—her brother had one too and loved it. I used to avoid the pool because of all the bugs, leaves, and other floating stuff, but now it stays so clean that I actually enjoy using it again. It’s incredibly easy to use, low maintenance, and totally worth it. If you’re thinking about getting one—just go for it. You won’t regret it!

Works very well for floating debris
I have had the Betta just under a month and am already impressed by how effective it is at cleaning the pool surface. This time of year my neighbors tree releases millions of little tiny leaves that are about half the size of a dime. They pretty much blow directly to my pool. They will float for a while but eventually sink and get sucked up by my pool crawler. When that happens the filter pump basket strainer plugs up and i have to shut down the whole system, pull the filter, and clean it.But with the Betta very few leaves are staying long enough to sink. The basket is not massive but it is large enough that when it fills up solid it has some weight to it when you pull it and dump it.When that tree is dropping leaves i will clean the Betta basket a couple times daily because it IS FULL! Better the easy to access and clean Betta than my pool pump.So for actually cleaning floating debris as it states, 5 stars. Also it could just be because my unit is only a month in service or because it is pretty sunny where i live, but this thing pretty much runs constantly. So far it has not run out the battery in the middle of the night to my knowledge. I have looked outside at 2 am and seen it trucking across the pool, and if i look out at 6 am it is still running. I assume this may lessen as the battery ages or during the very short overcast days later in the year, but right now i’m getting great run time. 5 stars.Maneuverabiluty wise it only has one flaw that i can see. It does a superb job of avoiding the walls and never seems to run into anything solid, always turning within inches of those obstructions. However it does get stuck on the floating hose of the pool crawler vacuum. It will eventually unstick as the hose moves as the crawler drives around the pool, but it does take a while sometimes. I have the retractable feet all the way up, as there are no steps high enough to get stuck on, but i think that the Betta just has to sit at a minimum depth to effectively skim the surface, and since the hose floats at the surface it loses those battles. I don’t see any real way around that unless the propellers were strong enough to push it over the hose, but if they were you would probably sacrifice battery life, so probably just the nature of the service. If you don’t have a floating pool hose as part of your filtration system, you wouldn’t have to worry about this at all. Overall i give maneuverability 4.5 stars.Aesthetics/ Noise, i pretty much forget its there unless i look. It makes absolutely ZERO noise, and it has a couple very small blinking lights that are really only noticeable at night and even then very hard to see unless you are looking straight at it. 5 stars.I did buy the extended warranty through Betta as my experience with anything running on solar/ batteries is that you never get expected life out of them. So good to have peace of mind that it will remain functional for at least 3 years. It only has 3 moving parts to it that can fail… 2 propellers and the spinning paddle at the basket inlet that pushes the debris into the basket, so there aren’t many mechanical things outside of the electronics to fail. This simplicity of design is a positive in my book. The more moving parts something has the more easily it can break.I can’t speak to longevity yet but performance wise this thing is top notch.I do have a suggestion for the Betta company though. You guys really shoulda named this thing the Whale Shark. It slowly skims across the water with a wide open inlet sucking up floating debris…. Looks exactly like a whale shark swimming along with its mouth wide open eating tiny fish. So thats what we call it in ny house, lol.Great product and am very happy so far.

Great robot and an amazing value.
This item so far has been AWESOME. Seriously, I had purchased a less expensive skimmer thinking it would be great but I was extremely mistaken. You get what you pay for. This bot is relentless. Works 24/7 non stop. Never have to charge it. Works all day and literally all night as well. Just need to empty the tray and put it back in. And away it goes again. Love this. Hopefully it lasts a long time.

Pool Skimmer
Works great and runs all day a long as it’s solar powered. Loves that it cleans/skims everything in the pool! Gets a little stuck in some spots but jut goto push it out to have it continue out. My only issue is that there is a black rubber part on the sides of the skimmer and after awhile being in the water/sun, the rubber part rubs along my pool and make Black marks all on the sidewalls and stairs. Hard to come off. I haven’t tried an above ground pool btw. So where ever it rubs against, there are black marks, which I do not like! Hope I can get them off with something.
