UPDATE: July 2025, I received this product like usual and all the dogs that ate them got sick. I realize it is also the time of year, but that has never been an issue before. Maybe they were old? or MAYBE these chicken hearts are coming from VAXXED animals now - which seems to be the rage and I do NOT agree with. But something was definitely off with the bag.I have since cancelled my subscription for this and have NOT bought anymore.I HAVE BOUGHT a DEHYDRATOR so I can make my own treats now and AVOID VAXXED animals by buying choice meats. News flash - my dogs are extremely healthy and loving it.Glad I found this brand of freeze-dried Raw Chicken Hearts. They smell fresh compared to other popular brands and all my dogs love this brand.Small bag however and with several dogs, it doesn't last long. So I find this item to be a bit pricey.Because they are fresher, they are not so dehydrated or tough. The hearts cut easily as I have little dogs and want to stretch them out. All my dogs can chew this brand well, even the older one with limited teeth. They are the right size too for chicken hearts, just saying.Overall, this is a very healthy, nutritious treat and I feel good giving it to them. Seems to keep their coats shiny.Great value for the price, just a bit pricey.

Nice bite size treats just right for training. It’s a great high value treat that gets my dogs’ attention. What dog doesn’t like liver treats?! It’s a good value that I buy on a regular basis. My dogs highly recommend.

My dog loves these treats. I like that they don’t have a million ingredients. I have a large dog and I think they are a good size and easy for my dog to chew. They are a harder treat and very stinky, I usually will wear a glove when using these to train. The bag was smaller than I was expecting especially for the price but they are a higher quality treat so I didn’t mind too much.

My damn dog LOVESSSS these things. Yes while being small, it’s perfect for training! Getting their attention. Small little success treats, etc.He LOVES them more than anything!!! They’re a little fishy smelling, but I assume that’s the omega fish oils. No complaints since they’re healthy AND he loves them.Makes training wayyyy more encouraging! 😆I had peanut butter training treats from a different manufacturer and while it worked well years ago, different manufacturers, quality, etc makes a huge difference.While I still use the peanut butter treats, it’s more for when mom is having an ice cream treat & doesn’t want to leave my dog out of it. 😆🚨 UPDATE!! ‼️ He likes his peanut butter treats, and his milk bone chewy teeth cleaning treats, but LITERALLY NOTHING COMPARES to the beef liver treats.Also worth mentioning, out of all the food I feed my pup; kibbles alone, canned food alone, mixed, etc. The flavor he PREFERS is ALWAYS chicken. 🐔 I’ve tried beef, sirloin flavor canned food, etc but by far it’s always the chicken & rice or the chicken dinner canned foods that he definitely prefers!So having got the beef liver I was SUPER HESITANT, but like I said, HE LOVES THEM!!!!!!!!!! These treats over literally everything he has ever had. I’d love to explore more options from this company considering.I hope this info helps other pet lovers! 🤗 🐶

These treats definitely make a scent-sational first impression — and by that, I mean wow, they are potent. If you open the bag indoors, prepare to be nose-punched by the unmistakable aroma of beef liver. But hey, that’s kind of the point, right?My pup, on the other hand, thinks these are five-star filet mignon. She hears the bag crinkle and acts like she’s auditioning for a dog food commercial. One ingredient, no fillers, high protein — love that. Just don’t sniff too hard and you’re good to go. Would give five stars if they didn’t make my whole pantry smell like a steakhouse for wolves.

Vital essentials is one of my favorite go to brands. I worked several years in the dog food industry, and my pup gets the zoomies when they come out. They don't stink at all, and freeze fried is one of the healthier options for processed foods. Dogs release enzymes when they eat raw that cleans their teeth naturally. Beef livers are great size for training and toys. And the bully sticks are great for his teeth in his old age getting sensitive. Not too hard and still takes him a long while to chew through.

These are safe for kitties, it’s the same products as what is marketed for cats and at a very slightly better value when purchased in this size. Which for me, is great because I care for 7 cats and feed 8 daily! I personally appreciate that these have some oils still left in them after being freeze dried. I know that is gross to some folks but to me that means the product is quality and fresh. I have to cut them up for my kitties into bite size pieces, so the oils come out and get on my fingers a bit. This doesn’t bother me, I think because I’m personally not eating the product, and my kitties absolutely love them. They are thick and chewy so it takes my kitties a while to much one down completely but they can and certainly have. I have tried other brands of chicken hearts, this has been my favorite. I wish there was a bulk size option for multi-pet homes but this size bag can last me a good while, I go through 2-3 a day. Great product!
