Works great! I got super into Oats Overnight and wanted to use normal milk in them but I hadn't drank normal milk in a long time. 8oz of milk/day plus ice cream at night and this made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Eventually, I adjusted and didn't need it anymore but it was a lifesaver during the adjustment time.

Seem to work and are much smaller than Lactaid

In my brother in law's pre med program, one of their labs did a comparison study between lactase supplements. This is the only one they tested that outperformed Lactaid and by quite a bit. They were using regular lactaid, not the fast act version, so I'm not sure how that would compare, but Carlyle worked faster than the regular Lactaid.Thanks to his recommendation, I get to be my dairy loving self again! I've even had times where I forget something like mashed potatoes at a restaurant will have dairy in it until I start to feel the first tell tale signs of upset. I hastily take Carlyle and even after the fact, if I take it soon enough it still heads off that gut wrenching pain!You definitely need to be self aware of your own system. I was so scared trying dairy again because of the pain associated with a reaction, so I started small with things like having sour cream or something cooked with some regular milk. But now I'm confident enough that on occasion, I'll even get a milkshake! Last night, I could tell that the milkshake at the restaurant I was at was more potent than others, so I just kept a tab on my digestive system and took more as I felt it needed it. I ended up taking 3, but for a homemade style milk shake, I'm pretty astonished it only took that much for me. I've been using Carlyle for months. I got a little pill container keychain to keep some with me wherever I go. It's been amazing! I know trying something new can be intimidating when the risks of the consequences of having lactose are so high, but I highly recommend trying it! It's stood up to everything I've pitted it against. I have been in the import cheese industry for 30 years. For the past 20, I have been 100% lactose intolerant. I quite literally gave up milk, ice cream and highly lactic dairy 100%. These pills are quite honestly the best in the market. I am tasting exotic imported cheeses everyday, from Stilton to Halloumi to Reggiano. These pills are effective and get me through my day. Most people don't realize that in the United States, we extract lactose from many items and sell it as a byproduct. For example, it is an added ingredient in most candy bars, by giving them a creamier taste and feel. We get that lactose from items like mozzarella and even US butter. I can easily consume those types of dairy with just a few pills., because the lactose has been mainly rinsed out as the whey protein is extracted. For highly lactic dairy products, I usually take more 6+ . But, versus the absolute pain and associated problems, it is well worth it. Some people think that taking one pill after eating dairy will solve the problem. It will not. You need to adjust your usage based on how lactic your dairy is. And remember, we are a crafty bunch, so just because you order a hamburger and not a cheeseburger, does not mean that there is no lactose added to the bun, to enrich its flavor. Fast food chains use a type of French Fry which has been sprayed with lactose and milk to improve the flavor and snap of their fries. So, keep an open eye. However, these tablets are the best in the market, and I will continue to use them. Not to mention half the price of the national brands.So, if you are a person who ingests lactose and feels like they just chewed glass, and is now feeling it digest through your system, these pills will help. Sometimes, by taking a couple. Sometimes taking quite a few more. No two dairy items are exactly the same.

I really wanted this product to work for the long haul. I felt the product was effective as a replacement for another more expensive brand, but it seemed to no longer prevent the lactose intolerance symptoms after beginning use of the second bottle. I had to switch back to the more expensive brand.

Works just as well as Lactaid with fewer pills per dose and at a fraction of the price! I'm never buying Lactaid again and am enjoying dairy every day again. Also, the pills are small, much easier to swallow than the oblong Lactaid tabs. Don't hesitate on this purchase!
