Every dog should have one!
I have tried various drinking bowls and gadgets for my two big Spinone's, Ollie and Maisie, as Ollie is very dribbly and every time he has a drink the whole bowl has to be emptied as he fills it with spit as he drinks, so I have re-fill it with clean water for him as he drinks and then wash the bowl and re-fill it again for maisie, this goes on all day not only wasting water as I am on a water meter but I have to watch them every time they drink to make sure that they are both getting plenty of fresh, clean water. This fountain is worth every penny, I wish I had found it earlier, it is easy to clean, keeps plenty of water fresh and cool and clean.Ollie has just had an operation on his mouth, the fountain filtered all the blood etc. and it made it so much easier to drink as his mouth was sore and full of stitches. It has not stopped the dripping of water across the floor completely when he has finished drinking but it is not as bad as it was due to the fact that he has not got all his beard submerged in the bowl.I was in too minds to get this as I thought I might be wasting my money again and was a bit concerned that you have to replace the filters but I have had the fountain for about 6 weeks now and regardless of all the yukky stuff that has gone through it from two dogs, it has washed out easily and is still in use, I have just ordered some more and it is not too expensive as there are 3 filters in a pack.I have recommended this to all my friends with dogs and also the vets.It is great for any size dog and not just the dribbly ones as you have peace of mind that they have fresh, cool water all day.As you can gather I am very pleased with the Dogit Fresh and I am pretty sure my hounds are too.

Husky enjoys it
Our husky was drinking lying down (lazy thing was just dragging himself over on his belly instead of getting up to drink) and it was potentially causing him some health issues. At the advice of the vet we therefore started looking into getting a taller water bowl and quickly realised that for an extra £10 he could have this. He loves it. We didn't have any trouble getting him to use it and he stands up to drink from it (hallelujah!). Thus far he's drunk about half of the water from full in 3 days, which is also an increase in his water intake, despite us having removed his other water bowls to ensure he is standing to drink (vet obviously needs to know he is if his health issues continue).Pump is quiet, assembly was very simple and it looks like changing the filter and cleaning will also be easy enough. Our floor isn't perfectly flat, so the water does only run over the top on one side rather than evenly but it's still perfectly functional.Very tempted to order another for my MIL and her rescue dogs, my only concern being that since her pups are all the old, sick or otherwise long-term rescues and some being rather small they may not be able to reach the top, therefore I would say it's probably not suitable for something around the size of a chihuahua or minature french bulldog unless one provides a step up to it.

Great Purchase!
I came across this item when searching for a replacement dog bowl for my Springer Spaniel puppy. I was not totally convinced this would suit my dogs needs and especially thought it may have been a set to far in the way of a water bowl. Having said that, I did purchase this item purely based on the reviews. My dog loves his water and I often found that I was changing/re-filling his existing bowl quite often throughout the day. Sometimes I would come home or wake in the morning and his bowl would be empty. He is also a very, very messy drinker. My main objective when looking for a replacement bowl to suit my dogs long ears and something which would hold more water. I also wanted to try these rocks what helped protect your lawn from dog urine, however my dog is going though a stone/rock chewing phase and I couldn't place the rocks in his water without him getting hold of them. When I first set up the Dogit Fresh/Clear Drinking Fountain, my dog instantly starting drinking from it without hesitation. His ears still get a little wet and it has not illuminated the mess he creates, however it has definitely improved - no more wet puddles. At least there is no chance him running out of water especially in the summer months and also the water does stay fresh (not stale or warm). I also have managed to place the rocks under the fountain (still early stages to stay whether they work).I am happy to say that I really happy with this purchase. It is a great invention and my dog loves it.

Large volume, quiet, effective
Certainly holds a lot of water and the pump is quiet. There is a good flow of water out of the top creating a clean and fresh looking water supply. The filters are quite small, but do seem effective at picking up debris and keeping the water looking crystal clear. Only bad bits are the lack of a water level indicator (it's a bit too easy to over or underfill) and the taking of the unit apart to clean is a bit messy and convoluted. All our dogs and cats seem very happy with it and don't do anywhere near the amount of splashing and mischief involved with the old bowl.

Disappointing - compared to the "Dogit" water fountain it replaced.
Good when it works, but NOISY. (Much noisier than the original "Dogit" water fountain AND the pump blocks frequently.I have had this item only two months - clean the bowl and filter every time I put in new water (every couple of days) but still it blocks and stops working frequently.Poor quality replacement for the Dogit.
