I expected some WOW factor as there is a lot of hype about the bullet proof coffee but it is not worth the price at all

I like Bulletproof products in general. First time trying The Mentalist and I love the taste. So far I used it to make bulletproof coffee and it taste delicious!

Our new bean-grinding coffeemaker has sparked a journey of coffee exploration. The freshly ground beans produce a rich, robust flavor, reminding us of coffee's true essence. This experience has reinvigorated our appreciation for authentic coffee taste.

I bought this coffee based on the 'clean' concept touted by the roaster. And, although I've never had any issues with the plethora of beans I've bought all over the world before...the notion of contamination (and selecting beans that ARE NOT) piqued my curiosity.Upon receipt of the beans...the first thing I noticed was that a UPC sticker was placed over the original one, which is also where the expiration date was stamped. I've only ever seen this before for expired/defective items (although the beans were within the expiry date). Hmm.Most importantly...these beans just don't make a very tasty cup of coffee (fyi, I brew in a French Press). The taste is very 'thin' and unlike other beans I've brewed of medium-dark roast. I tried brewing longer and adding more beans...but neither improved the flavour. Perhaps this roaster's darker roasts might be better, but I cannot recommend this "Mentalist" roast. It will not satisfy the more critical coffee drinker, like myself.

I have been ordering this coffee for quite a while. This is always great flavor, no mycotoxins and a reliable company.

Kinu M47 grinder set to 1.2 loves this coffee. I pull shots on an old Breville BES400 that I have modified to accept the later 54mm portafilters. I'm using IMS baskets and dosing out 13.0 grams for around 45 ml shots. Really smooth shots of espresso (more along the classic Italian ratios, so very smooth and balanced with a great coffee flavor to them; not the sour 3rd wave BS). Lately, this has been my go-to bean for espresso and cappuccinos. Very easy to dial in and very forgiving. As mentioned, nice balanced and smooth coffee flavor.Also, I will say that since switching to this coffee, my sinuses have cleared up quite a bit. I don't know if that's a coincidence or not, but I have read that this particular coffee has lower mycotoxins and I'm starting to believe it.Great bean.. really well done on the roast, etc.
