Magnificent little machine
Brought this to replace a Samsung Jet bot and the difference is night and day. At full whack on wooden floors, the Samsung is painful: you can even hear it outside the house. Samsung logic isn't much better, it would roam for a few minutes before declaring the room clean. To be fair to Samsung, it usually presented a full bin after a few days, but you had to coax it so much that it eventually became quicker to clear up by hand. The Homerun? Flawless. At its loudest it sounds like someone downstairs is doing the cleaning: even my terrier gets on with it, going so far as to try and feed it from time to time. The logic is excellent - you need to place the base station on each floor you plan to map, but only once. Let it run and it returns a half hour later with the proof of its hard work. The mopping action is good, and dries quickly. If I had one gripe it's that very thin rugs get confused with mats, so mark it on the app as no-mop or it may try to give your Turkish rug a bit of a light wash (nothing damaging at all if you're wondering, but not something to encourage).Downside? No voice integration, only the app. I'm hoping they'll add it to Google Home but for now it does well enough to clean that I don't begrudge a penny of the investment, not one bit.

Initially impressed, but left underwhelmed
Easy to use device with a poor app.We had this hoover for over a month before requesting manufacture assistance as it was sucking anything up at all. Philips were very quick to assist, but ultimately ended up refunding me as they couldn’t get a replacement. We’ve gone for a competitors device, which is meeting expectations. That said, this hoover has a very good battery life, a useful list of functions and abilities, is good value for money (given the auto empty and mopping functions) and the mapping worked really well.

Love the vacuum + mop combo. Works well for dog owners. Much better than Dyson!

Great vac, awful mop
This review is based on two weeks of daily usage, alternating mopping and vacuuming each day at 10am. I have a large house with hard floors (wood/polished cement), two lab x collie dogs and have a muddy garden. It is easy to set up and map, it can climb over the uneven wood strips that divide my different thresholds. It rarely gets stuck under stuff. It vacuums well & does a great job of collecting vast quantities of dog hair. The large dust reservoir with a bag has not needed emptying yet (after two weeks). It is an awful mop. The reservoir holds too little water, the mop is too thin and non-absorbent and all the powerful mopping action does is make a terrific job of turning dust into mud which it applies firmly to the floors. It makes the floors look worse after cleaning than before. What it needs is the ability to wet the floor, mop it and suction the dirty water off the floor, it does not do that. If you are buying this because of the mop, do not. I clean the mop head after each mopping session, it makes no difference. It basically just wipes. If you live on the 9th floor of a high rise in the city with no pets or mud or kids and you never wear shoes inside or open the windows, I think this could be great for you.I am in two minds whether the vacuum is good enough to justify retaining it.I doubt there is a mop that would currently do a better job of cleaning than a dedicated hard floor washer that sprays, scrubs & sucks up the wet and then dries the floor.I am so disappointed that it is not better, I really love this little bots cheerful energy.

Life changer
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this to help keep the floors clean and tidy and run while I am out of the house. Setting up the station was straight forward, although when connecting to the Wi-Fi, follow the app instructions but don't wait for the single light, press next on the app and move on - after these steps it then connects and is ready to use. It is important to move things off the floor that are not permanent features, then it can create a proper map of the area, you can put them back afterwards if you like. The photo off the map shows it identified its working area, named the rooms and planned a route through the rooms and around furniture - amazing. I have set it vacuuming twice now and I am very happy with the results, its route planning improves the more it is used - or at least that's how I see it. I have turned off mopping for now so I can understand how to add no mop areas to avoid soaking rugs. It moves seamlessly from tile to short pile rugs and vacuums both equally well. It always returns to the station for recharging and emptying, again amazing. Very, very happy with this.
