My ALL TIME FAVORITE GAME!
Trio is absolutely my favorite game! It’s super simple to learn but has just the right amount of strategy to keep it interesting. I love the excitement of trying to find the matching trios while keeping an eye on what everyone else is doing. The game moves quickly, so there’s never a dull moment, and it’s perfect for playing multiple rounds in one sitting. Plus, it’s a blast trying to outthink your opponents while keeping your own plans hidden. Such a clever and addictive game — I can’t recommend it enough!

Excellent iteration of a great card game
Trio is that type of game you play and you think, yeah, this is one is gonna see regular usage at the table from now on.The concept of the game is so simple and yet so satisfying, and you can learn the game within minutes and have multiple rounds of fun. It plays as fast as or as long as your luck, memory, strategy and intuition work. This blend of these four aspects makes each session different depending on who you play with: a family game night versus playing with hardcore gaming friends. For gamers, Trio functions as a great warmer or filler before jumping into a long gaming session. The game is just pure good fun. There are big laughs to have when you have a "gotcha!" moment with another player and you suspect that they have two of the cards you're looking for and you successfully get them to play it to the table in your favour to form a trio.On an aesthetic level, the cards are really beautiful and colourful. I also have to say this is one of my favourite boxes on my shelves; the black and gold look really good and the papel picado theme just has so much character to it.I really love Nana, the original Japanese version of this game, and I love Trio just as much.As a side note, Trio's publisher, Happy Camper Games, went above and beyond in rectifying an issue I had with my original purchase. To see such personal care and responsibility shown by the publisher is refreshing and respectable.I can easily say that Trio has quickly launched to the head of the pack in pick up and play card games I'd recommend.

A must have game!
This game is seriously so fun!!! My husband and I love playing this game with our friends and family. It's perfect for a group of adults or older aged children and we love how affordable it was. It's a strategic yet simple game and we love how competitive it can get. It's almost like an intense go fish but with more aspects to it. Again, it's super easy and simple to play, yet has so much to offer. There are various ways to play if you read the instructions. If you're great at deceiving, have a great poker face, or an incredible memory you will be great at this game!!

Easy, Cheap and Fun
It's low cost. Very simple yet still requires strategy. A great improvement on a classic card game that. Easy to pull out, shuffle and play.

Addictive fun as you carefully suss out where the right cards are
The rules are very simple, but it takes a minute or two for them to sink in. Stick with it! It takes one game to see what it is. But once everyone at the table gets that you're trying to locate where all the cards are and what's in each player's hand—you've turned the corner and the fun can truly begin. It's a sneaky game with an evolving narrative as people begin figuring things out.I've taught and played the game with many different groups now—and those that were avid gamers were talking about ordering the game for themselves half way into the second game. And it's only a 15 minute game! It's so addictive! You can play again and again and what's nice is everyone needs to stay engaged—so phones were actually put down. We've also had success across age levels from 10/11 up to older teens, adults, and seniors. You just need to get that first game under your belt because the game needs a few minutes to reveal itself.Big laughs, memorable moments, and time spent together with your family or friends. Trio has a full set of each of those valuable qualities. Highly recommended. I expect to gift a lot of this for the holidays.UPDATE: I work in a dormitory with academically motivated high schoolers. It was the game of the summer for my family, but since the start of the school year it has been a big hit at our school too. It's common to walk around the dormitory and see people playing it on every floor. I believe this game has the chance to become a modern classic over the next decade. It has such a "let's just play one more game" feel. So impressed by the fun it provides with such simple rules across a wide age range for both casual and more competitive gamers. It's only competition is Flip 7, which is also a fantastic new game with classic potential.
