Thinking About Buying This Radio? Read On:
So you’ve got lots and lots of choices out there in internet radios and undoubtedly some are better than others. You MUST consider one main factor First! What is their Search Database like, how easy is it to use And will it have all the offerings that You want? Ocean Digital uses SKYTUNE and others use less capable search databases. I know, I’ve tried most of them. Also, there is another major player out there that has name recognition for 2 reasons. #1 Because they were probably the first in the introduction of internet radios for home consumers And #2 Because their internet database search engine supplier went Out Of Business… Thousands upon thousands of their internet radio owners were left without radios that would work.Even those who had just bought new radios were left with what was basically a brick. That well known company is back, again selling well built radios with horrible a database search engine. Avoid those radios, also “lightning may strike twice” with them!Ocean Digital internet radios work virtually flawlessly. Wonderful SKYTUNE search database, well constructed, reasonably priced and nice designs.Being impressed with my first one, a WR-860, I decided to try their smaller WR-390. That one was as easy to setup as the first one and worked flawlessly. Problem for me was the 860 was really too big for my nightstand so I decided to move it to the den and bought the 390 and it fits great. Got to thinking about a portable smaller internet radio to use in the garage and back yard while grilling. Did the usual Amazon search and read reviews. Man there are some Expensive portable radios out there And some pretty cruddy reviews. Then came across the Ocean Digital WR-18 portable. Man it looked exactly like what I wanted! So I bought it and it came in today. You know what? Wonderful sound that you can set about any way you want, same great SKYTUNE search database, easy peasy setup for my saved presets and recognized my internet WiFi quickly. It was like a mini-me of the other two units. So you’re looking and trying to make an educated decision about What to buy and If it will fill Your Needs, well look no further than Ocean Digital! Your biggest decision is what size is best for you. I hope you enjoy your new Ocean Digital! I’m enjoying mine👍

Ocean Digital WR-860 is BRILLIANT!
Going to keep this simple... I don't leave many reviews, but when a product or a service is extraordinary, I do take the time to let others know. If you are interested in an Internet Stereo Radio that is modestly priced, look no further then this Ocean Digital WR-860. It had the features I was interested in: Internet Radio, FM Radio and the ability to play content from a USB Drive. Once connected to the Internet, you really no longer need the Antenna for FM as you can find and save the FM Stations that you want to listen to. Here is where this unit excels. 1. Sound. It really sounds fantastic for a unit of its size and price. It is surprisingly good. 2. The SW programming of this unit is very well done so that the user of this product can easily set things up. Kudo's to their engineers as you don't need to be a rocket scientist to get things up and running. So many other positives like the date & time is set up and synced automatically thru the internet, the color display is nice and has all of the Station / Song information you would ever need, the remote works great, etc., etc., etc. I'm extremely pleased with my purchase and am considering buying a second unit for another location in my home. Highly recommend.

Exceeded my expectations!!
Exceeded My Expectations! The Ocean Digital WR-860 has truly impressed me. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the sound quality is excellent—clear, crisp, and without any distortion. I live in an area with poor traditional radio reception, so having access to internet radio has made a huge difference. The clarity of the stations is outstanding. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase—highly recommended!

UPDATE: First one was DOA, I returned it and ordered again, the second one works great
At the bottom of this page you can read my original review of the radio that was Dead on Arrival. I immediately returned it and ordered the same model again because I had already spent an inordinate amount of time over several days comparing at least seven different Internet radios. I wanted a radio that plays internet stations AND FM stations (I'm the kind of guy who's likely to wear a belt AND suspenders. I don't, but I'm that kind of guy.) I also wanted Bluetooth and AUX connectivity, and I wanted one that looks good (to me). This is the radio I settled on, and I didn't want to give up on it just because it had one tiny flaw - it was as dead as the Monty Python parrot when it arrived. The second one arrived today and it's great. FM reception is MUCH better than my old analog radios, and the internet stations are even better. Good Sound, looks great. The screen is smaller than I'd like, but it's a radio so . . . .I set up FM stations first, to make sure its reception was no worse than my old radio. FM reception is great - best I've ever had. The radio scans for nearby stations, gives you a list, and you can save your favorites in a separate list. The list of ALL nearby stations is always there if you want it.Finding and saving internet stations is a little tedious, but if you're a little bit tech savvy and have a little patience it's not horrible. The main problem is that the keyboard on the remote, like most remotes, has the 26 letters of the alphabet spread among numerical keys 1 - 0. So you have to hit the same key multiple times to get to the letter you want. BUT, that's only a problem if you want to search for a particular station by name (e.g. KNKX). You can also search by state, or by genre so you don't really have to go through that tedious exercise unless, like me, you accidentally delete one of your stations from your Favorites list and want to search for it so you can add it again.Other reviewers mentioned receiving radios that were DOA, so it seems Ocean Digital has a quality control problem. However, returning it to Amazon was free and relatively painless. I didn't even have to get a shipping label, I just put it back in the box, sealed it with packing tape, and took it to the nearby UPS office. The replacement arrived two days later (today), and after spending an hour or two scanning for nearby FM stations, saving a bunch, then scanning for Internet stations by genre and by location and saving them, I'm now listening to a favorite Jazz station. It sounds great. I'm happy with it now.FOLLOWING IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW,I ordered the Ocean Digital WR-860 from Amazon yesterday and it was delivered today. Hooray for Amazon, but BOOOO!!! for Ocean Digital. I immediately unpacked it, plugged it into a power socket that I know works fine, switched ON the Power On-Off switch in the back of the radio, and pressed the "Stand By/Activate" button on top of the radio. Nothing happened. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. I confirmed that the power outlet is functioning. I retried the On-Off switch in back and the Standby/Activate button on top. Still NOTHING. So my new Ocean Digital WR-860 is the most beautiful doorstop (or boat anchor) I've ever seen.Imagine how excited I am to have to go through the hassle of repacking this thing, getting the mailing label to return it, go through the hassle of getting my money back from Amazon, etc. The WR-860 is a beautiful LOOKING appliance. If only it worked.
