PLEASE SEE THE PHOTOS! If you fill and scrape the male side, it literally leaves little to no space to make a nice open sprue for casting. Hardly functional.

Great mold. Perfect for casting small molds for jewelry and even small figures. It's easy to use and the final products are. great.

There is no channel inside to prevent the sand from sliding out of the flask. When the half are pulled apart the flask pulls off and the sand stays in place. Also there is no alignment mark.

UPDATE: Was able to complete a small casting, picture included, out of zinc/zamac. Patience is necessary. Would be better if ID of tube had a bit of texture so the sand would stick better to it but worked out fine.Measured with caliper: 2.54" ID, 2.825" OD and 2.625" length when assembled with .975" side port. Better to be larger than the description as opposed to smaller. Should work alright for casting small items. Mold separation features should be smoother; machine cut marks result in rough separation. Pour opening has very sharp points on it; manually chamfer or break the edge to prevent cutting or stabbing your fingers as I did.
