Excellent TV!
I purchased the LG 77-Inch Class OLED evo G4 Series Smart TV. Excellent TV. Great picture, vivid colors, easy setup. The room where this TV is located is very bright, yet even dark scenes are easily visible. Although the specs stated, "Wall Mount", I was curios to know if it could also sit on a stand and so I asked the question, "Does this come with a stand?" Response: "The LG 77-Inch Class OLED evo G4 Series Smart TV does come with a stand."It does not!So if you're looking for a TV to sit on an entertainment center or some other piece of furniture, this is not for you.

Almost too bright ... almost.
Bought this to replace my 77 inch Sony A9G OLED. Wanted a brighter tv for daytime watching of sports in a bright room with two windows. Great tv, and the reflections are handled so much better. You don't even notice them unless you try to look at them specifically. Pretty happy overall. I still wouldn't give you a dime for the LG remote ... but I'm still rocking my Harmony elite so don't use the LG remote much anyway. And if you do get one, do yourself a favor, press the mute button three times and turn off the "snowbank" picture that pops up when the tv loses signal while switching inputs ;-). I also ended up keeping the Sony for a second darker room - it's just too great of a tv to sell.

Best TV I've ever owned
Never leaving my house again. The picture clarity and colors on this TV are astounding. I never thought a TV could be this clear and bring such life to movies. No matter what I watched, it was as if I was experiencing it for the first time. This TV has THAT kind of an affect. I use my PS5 as my entertainment hub and instantly after just loading up the main menu I was blown away. I stared at the menu icons just appreciating how crystal clear everything was. I instantly started pulling up my favorite movies and rewatching them. I went with the 83" version and it feels like I am in a movie theater. I went from a 65" and this upgrade feels huge. LOVE the size.Con - Kind of...The sound with the built-in speakers on this thing isn't all that great. However! I am used to having a sound bar attached to my TV and continue to use it with this one. The TV has a great AI feature to dial in your sound settings and performs test using the tv remote as a mic to adjust settings. Alongside using the speakers of the TV AND the sound bar in unison, the sound is amazing. This isn't for everyone, but tbh if you are getting an 83" TV that costs this much, you are not getting it for the amazing sound clarity. Invest in a home theater audio setup to go along with it or at the very least a cheap sound bar. Can't recommend this TV enough. Love it.

Great picture, terrible software experience
The OLED panel itself is excellent with beautiful picture, deep blacks, and great brightness. Unfortunately, LG has ruined the experience with webOS.The app selection is limited compared to Android TV or Google TV. Many apps you’d expect, like Paramount, can’t be installed without creating an LG account and agreeing to heavy-handed marketing permissions. IP Channels (really just Pluto TV) is forced into the input list and cannot be removed. This is clearly a monetization deal that comes at the expense of the customer experience. You cannot install apps as freely as you can on the Google Play Store, and sideloading is not supported. The UI is overly complicated; you often need to look up tutorials or even ask AI assistants just to find simple settings. Advertising is baked into the system, and LG is clearly tracking viewing habits. There is no straightforward way to opt out.The hardware is outstanding, but the interface, lack of app freedom, forced ads, and intrusive data collection make this a frustrating TV to actually use. A shame, because the display itself deserves much better software.

5th LG OLED in 10 years -- and the best ... so far
I bought my first LG OLED TV in 2015 (F9500 65-inch), and over the next 10 years, have purchased 4 more including this one (all still in use), so have a pretty good sense of these beasts (which also explains why these are the only TVs we own). This 77-inch G4 replaced our 2019 E9 series glass 65-inch in the living room and I am amazed how much things have changed in the last 5 years: The colors are brighter and more saturated, the TV is thinner and flush-mountable (woo hoo!), and the WebOS (which we really never use) and other system settings are much improved.Pairing this with a new Sonos Arc Ultra and era 300 surrounds has made a major difference and we are finally getting the real deal with both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision (we stream via an Apple TV 4k device and use Zeskit X-Tech 4k/8k 48Gbps Ultra High Speed HDMI cables).I won't go into preferred settings and all of the technical arcana available online, but even out of the box, this puppy was ready to go.The wall-mounting was a 3-person job ( could have been done with 2, but it weighs 95 pounds!) and after I had installed the included wall mount directly to 12-inch-spaced wall studs, and run all cables through the correct channels on the backside (taping them all down and inside the carved out spaces because they were prone to wandering out due to gravity) it was ready to lift, attach, and snap pleasingly into place! As a side note, we have never had any burn-in with any of the LG OLED's we own, but there is a new setting in this one that can obliterate burn-in pixel-by-pixel should that occur (we simply avoid 24-hour "news" channels hat have fixed chyrons).Overall, this is a beautiful TV that hangs like a piece of art (which it may very well be).The only downside was figuring out how to dispose of the copious (yet necessary) yards of styrofoam and cardboard packaging (we were able to fit half in the week's garbage bin pickup and then refilled it with he remainder and ran our bin across the street for when the truck came back around on that side of the street--score!).
