Not a bad personal DAB Radio, bit steep a price for the quality. It's not bad, just plastic.Lots of great stations, interface isn't too difficult to use. The battery lasts quite a number of days in between charges. It comes with headphones, unfortunately no plug for the USB style charger.Screen is black with white, very easy on the eyes at night which is a bonus.It's also small, smaller than most phones, which is handy, yet the screen is so clear it can be used without glasses on, at least for me. The volume also has a lock that can be overridden for how high the volume is, useful if you don't want hearing damage etc.Favourites can be saved, although it's extremely easy to switch between them.Information such as time, battery, station and song are shown on screen.Had a previous version which lasted many years, one of the reasons I bought this one. It's great to listen to the radio before I sleep.

I've had portable radios for many years - FM until about 5 years ago when we first started filling the house with DABs and I took the plunge with an earlier version of this radio from Pure. Unfortunately we lived in a part of Shetland where the DAB signal was not strong enough and I had to return the item. However - this was not a fault of the item. I was really interested to see this newer model. And it is significantly different. It is smaller and lighter. I was worried at the change from aluminium to plastic but I definitely prefer the feel of the new radio and appreciate how much easier it is to carry around. Then there's the new screen. It is sharp and clear as a pin. Last but not least - the sound. I've had other portable dab radios and been very happy with then but this sounds so much better. Lastly - again - the reception is rock solid whether you're out walking through the woods or sauntering around your home. If you are looking for the best pocket dab right now - this is it.

Only got this yesterday; so just 1st impressions.Now I am really pleased with this little radio so why only 4 stars? Well if it was selling at say £50 I think I would give it 5 but at the frankly enormous price this should be perfect and it is not quite perfect.The good;Sounds good; as good as my larger PURE radio sounds when I use it with headphones.The power/lock switch is well thought out and convenient.Size this really does fit in a shirt pocket, which is where mine, will spend a lot of time hopefully.I like the headphones some may not, a little large perhaps?Looks very nice and understated. Buttons feel good as does the whole thing but it does feel a bit flimsy perhaps for a device this expensive.Auto tuning found over 100 DAB stations no problem but I have a good signal here. Going to Frinton next week where I have failed to get a DAB signal on other PURE DAB radio’s so that will be a better test.I love the Black and White display; much easier to read in sunlight than fancy and unnecessary colour screen. Display is very bright at full setting; I found I was using it as a torch when I nipped to the Loo last night!QuibblesThe ridiculous volume warning that requires being overridden with the Select button, what nonsense is this?Like the pre-sets but why only two direct single press pre-sets. There is room for at least one more and the T4 has three? Actually I would like to see four or more single press pre-sets even if this meant smaller buttons.The manual says the USB cable is for power only, will not work if there is ever a software update. At this price this is silly. OK most people will have a data USB, I do but some may not. If they are going to include a USB it should be fully featured.The manual gives the same instructions for setting a pre-set as for selecting one. Now I know the difference is the duration of the pre-set key #3 press but this should be made clear.NB Another reviewer seemed to suggest you cannot turn on (or was it off) without a headphone attached; not sure why one would want to turn the R3 on without a headphone but you can.NB2 Shame Amazon has lumped all the 2520 /R3/T4 reviews together, took my ages to find R3 reviews among the huge number of 2520/T4 reviews, so Amazon please separate these out they are all quite different.

Brilliant product - pay a bit more than the lower end of the market and pays you in the long run. Had several other cheaper alternatives n found sound quality poor radio reception intermittent and non rechargeable ones that eat batteries. Very good compact model cool looking well made and very much worth the spend. Fm and dab reception great. Took on a long run in rural area today n sound quality and reception great n battery life no issue. Would deffo recommend this. Beware or cheap alternatives that just are not up to the job.

Just over 1 year old and the radio DAB doesn’t work like it should. Stations come up as not available, I have to hold the headphone cable in a certain position to receive a signal.Fir the price I would expect more than a year of use out of this radio.Now the return window is closed.The headphones are quite cheap and there are elements that rattle inside.Sound quality was good while the radio worked.I would not recommend this product.

Opened box charged radio, easy set-up, great reception, great sound. BUT next morning turned it on. No display but sound ok. Noticed screen was almost too hot to touch!! Will return when it cools down!!

Struggle to get DAB reception and the FM reception is not as good as my old FM radio. Otherwise it's fine! Looks and feels high quality. Sound quality good (when it works).

This is an excellent product it is to replace the Pure DAB radio I had previously for over 6 years it was a super piece of kit. This was the reason I chose a Pure to replace it. This is far more modern, much easier to use. It came in an very effective outer Amazon cardboard sleeve, when I removed it the box containing the Pure UK Move R3 was Beautifuly presented like an Apple product. I carefully opened the box, it was just what I wanted Great reception, ease of changing station. I’d recommend this product to all DAB radio addicts.
