Excellent product for the price.
A neat and solid feeling product, far better than most in its price range. The quality fits the Dorcy reputation, so it wasn't a surprise. It is fairly bright for a torch of its size and feels strong with no flexing in my grip as it is held. I like the fact that it takes AA batteries rather than the tiny AAA batteries, because alkaline cells of the AA type contain about three times the energy of AAA cells but cost about the same amount, making the AA cells far better value.The only downside is the strange spread of light with coloured fringes in, a bit distracting until you get used to it. It is a minor disadvantage that really doesn't bother me, you will have to decide for yourself it that is the case for you.And yes, it floats, even with batteries in, because I dropped it in the bathroom washbasin to test it. No ill effects at all.Definitely recommended.

Rugged and bright - ideal!
Great torch. Nicely coloured and very bright. Great for finding my cats on a dark night. I haven’t tested the waterproof element yet but I will update it once I have. This torch was reduced in price so it made it even more affordable at half the price. Feels very rugged too which will last for years to come.

A brilliant waterproof torch
This torch is brilliant and I don't know why they are not more readily available.It is waterproof and it floats. It has LED bulbs and therefore lasts well. The light output is very good - i.e, it is bright.I bought one in the summer for camping on a dinghy. I have subsequently bought another because I liked it so much (the last one I needed to buy from a US seller - but looks as though they are now available in the UK again.).It is a good size - not too big, but fits in the hand nicely - and it is light weight.If I had enough money and inclination I would start importing them from the states...
