We purchased this to replace our wood peel because it started splintering. This peel is used weekly and looks nearly new.

It did not come with screws, but the handle fits quite well with just the force needed to press it into the metal opening. To be safe, I drilled a small hole in the wood, and pressed a finishing nail into the aluminum and handle.I took some time to file and sand a bit of a sharp edge on the front. It will now pick anything off my pizza peel with no sticking or dragging.

Pizza peel works great. I put down some cornmeal, slap a dough on top, build my pizza, and slide it in the oven. Easy as pie :-) After about 1 minute, I slide it under the Pizza, pull it out from the oven and rotate before sliding the pizza back in.

This pizza peeler is very awesome to invest in. When it comes to the sturdiness, thickness, and warmth I will vote for the approval for ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This pizza peel's components are cheap like the wooden handle lightly crimped onto a metal piece that is bolted to the peel blade. The manufacturer's sticky plastic film is applied to only one side and is bolted in place between the blade and a joint piece connecting the blade with the handle. When I tried to take the plastic off it ripped at this point and could not be removed from underneath this hardware (bolts cannot be unscrewed). It is a health hazard because the peel is used in high heat in an oven and will melt or off-gas around the food. It is also totally unnecessary because the plastic only protects one side of the peel from scratches during initial shipping. Why not attach plastic to both sides if it was actually necessary? Better yet, just don't use the sticky plastic covering on any part of this product? This product is cheap, wasteful (plastic use is unnecessary), bad for the environment, and bad for the health of you and your loved ones. Don't buy. I returned the one that I purchased as soon as I received it and saw these flaws for myself.
