The outside of the treat is crunchy and the inside is soft-moist for both Chicken & Salmon.

what is the expiration date on the twelve ?

I bought this to try. It was well within the expiration date. Our cats refused to eat it. Our friend's cat refused to eat it, and our neighbor's cat wouldn't eat it either. It was thrown out.

Are they crunchy or soft treats? My cat is old and has bad teeth, he needs soft ones. The title says moist but the description says crunchy.

These are crunchy. Also, despite being a good brand, my cat would not eat them. So I set them out for the first cats and they would not eat them! So maybe try a soft kind it just s gravy packet food. That is what we found for cats with few teeth. Baby food also works - if it is s meaty flavor. Good luck!

Are the treats the same as the Blue Wilderness I buy reguarly for my cat?

Blue Buffalo is the company which is written in small letters in the blue diamond on the label. Wilderness is like a sub name/description of the product. So it is the same. My cats LOVE LOVE the Salmon.

Careful of expiration date-otherwise my cat loves these!

If you get a fresh one, your cats will do tricks for these and the rating would change to 5 stars! I have taught mine 5 tricks all with using these as 'rewards'.I have ordered these 11 times without any issues--however this time around they sent me one with an expiration date of June 12,2025 and I received them on July 7, 2025. Amazon will return my money however I have to order a new one and my kitty is out of her treats until those arrive.This is no fault of the Brand, as Blue Buffalo is quality but really hoped for better quality control when it comes to sending out "expired" products. Be sure to read the expiration date near the top of the lid and you should be fine.
