Just what I needed to replace an older, non-functioning camera, with a new one. The Amcrest camera mounted perfectly to the front of the junction box. Caulking between the box and an exterior brick wall was needed to insure against water penetration. Very pleased and will order again when other camera's need replacement.

Does not include extra screws!With all of Amcrest products, need to really scavenge for extra screws and plastic o-rings, etc! They tend to perform half an excellent job, while forgetting essentials for those of us up on ladders, such as providing extra screws, o-rings and proper installation instructions. Also, provide more relaxed warranties across the board rather than relying upon third party warranties for their innards malfunctioning products poorly camouflaged by their heavy duty steel casings. They are perfectly sized for the Amcrest cameras. They are will made, and all of the screw holes line up.

I purchased this junction box thinking I may need it to install my new camera. For my install on garage to watch wild life back yard installed easy enough though a third hand would be helpful. This junction box is well made and allows my camera Amcrest UltraHD 4K 8MP. AI to be installed on garage vertical wall which allows the camera to be freely turned up towards the stars or down to see the wild life roaming my yard. Did not try to fit cat.cable 6 plug in box thought it ——-got lazy because I want to move camera to different areas to watch baby ducks this spring at our pond.

The conduit size is 3/4.The box is well made and it comes with an allen wrench, anchor screws, and the lid is tethered to the body.

This junction box was purchased to mount a Amcrest IP8M-2496EW-V2 camera. Mounting the camera without this type of junction box would make installation very difficult as there is no space allotted for the leads and connector.The junction box is very sturdy and has the approximate threaded hole pattern for the IP8M-VB2896EW-AI camera. Most notably is that cover mounting screws are captive and the cover is connected to the body by a metal cable making mounting of the junction box less of a task.Con:There are Three (3) “fixed” hole positions for attaching the junction box to a surface which does not allow for rotational adjustment in positioning the camera body. I was able to use a large flat washer and screw in the hole at the bottom center of the Junction box, to allow rotation for camera position. If hole at the bottom center is needed to exit ethernet cable then mounting would become more difficult.

It's a nice product, but the assembly process for mounting a FCM-IP8M-T2499EW28MM camera is absurd. First, you mount the box. Easy. Then you attach the outer plate for the box. Then you attach the camera mount plate. Then you have to place the camera on the plate and screw it down. If you have to get inside the box at any point, you have to remove the camera, remove the camera mount plate (4 screws), and then remove the 3 screws from this box plate to get inside. This only matters when you're standing 24 feet up on a ladder trying to hold on to every piece. Ideally, the cover plate screws on this would be accessible after the camera mount plate is attached to it, or the face place would not be needed and the camera mount would screw directly into this box. Still, great product.

Fit both models of Amcrest cameras that we own and wanted mounted. The base of the bullet camera lined up well with the inner screw holes, but unfortunately was small enough that the unused screw holes for other camera models were visible. Our dome style camera had a larger base and covered all of the unused screw holes. All in all, very pleased and would buy again.
