Missing and wrong parts
I got my parts box several days after the bike, it’s unfortunate because you can’t ride it without those. After finally getting everything in and putting it together I can tell you this thing absolutely rips. Mine has a seven speed but all the other upgrades so not sure on that. I don’t really need the gears because the pedal assist works well. I’ve enjoyed riding it and would recommend if your looking for an electric bike that can go 50+ but has pedals.

A Beast - Fast, Fun, and Thoughtfully Designed
The Freego X2 Pro punches way above its price point. I’ve been riding mine for a few weeks now and I’m genuinely impressed with the overall ride quality, performance, and attention to detail. This isn’t just a cheap alternative to a Surron — it’s its own thing, and it’s pretty awesome.Let’s talk value:For the cost, you’re getting an insane amount of bike. The build is solid, the design is clean but cool, and everything just seems to work together. The ride experience is smooth, stable, and just plain fun.Performance-wise?No, it’s not a Surron — but don’t be fooled. This thing moves. It’ll hit around 50mph flat out, and gets up to 35–40mph surprisingly quickly. At 6’0” and 200lbs, I find the front and rear suspension excellent. It soaks up trails and bumps without issue and can be dialed in to suit your weight and riding style.Braking and handling:It comes with 4-piston hydraulic brakes and solid center rotors that stop well — though with the bike’s speed and thrust, I’ll likely upgrade the brake system over time. I also swapped the brake levers (rear brake on the left — why aren’t they shipped this way?). Easy fix, but worth noting.Throttle and PAS:Thrilled to see the return of the full-throttle setup — much better for control and shows the brand is listening to rider feedback. PAS (pedal assist) uses a magnetic sensor and offers 3 levels: in Off Road mode, Level 1 caps you at 20mph, Level 2 at 28mph, and Level 3 unleashes the full beast. Instead of dropping to City mode, you can just leave the bike in Off-Road Mode (full power) and still ride discreetly by using PAS 2 to limit speed and motor output — super handy for street legality.Speaking of street smart:It ships with Off-Road mode active but can be set to City mode to restrict the motor to 750w and 28mph, making it compliant in most states. Mine even came with a “Street Legal Edition” sticker and motor info printed on the frame — smart move, Freego.Gearing and drivetrain:This model now runs a single-speed setup with a Shimano chain tensioner — a welcome change. The chain still rattles a bit on bumpy terrain, but nothing a simple plastic chain tensioner add-on won’t fix. Pedals are rarely needed but help keep the bike looking “e-bike” friendly when needed. I just wish they had shorter crank arms.Battery and charger:The battery is solid, charges reliably, and the included charger features a cooling fan and an XLR-connector (a much better choice than flimsy ports). Just a heads-up: the energy bar on the M5 display isn’t super accurate — use the voltage readout (65V when full) instead.Other nice touches:• Tires are meaty and grip well off-road.• Rear lights with turn signals (thank you — not “blinkers!”).• Clean, simple frame that still turns heads.Final thoughts? It’s not a Surron, but it’s not your average e-bike either. It blurs the line beautifully and delivers a fast, capable, and genuinely enjoyable ride at a fraction of the cost, while attempting to keep you under the radar when it comes down to being street legal by having pedals. For what you get, this bike is an absolute steal.Re the pictures, I did do a “badge delete” by vinyl wrapping the side plates and removing the fork stickers. I like a nice clean look and will be adding my own graphics in time.
