Susan Bates large crochet hooks

Susan Bates are the only hooks I use. The head style makes crocheting much easier.

Are these small enough for crochet thread

I use these for crochet thread, just fine. I tend to try a few stitches with the thread in question, to see how I feel about the look, and adjust up or down a hook accordingly. The smaller the hook the "tighter" the stitch looks... but yeah, I use these on size 10 thread, as well as 20.

Great quality, pretty colors, good value

Wanted to upgrade my crochet hooks to a tapered and more pointy shape, did so thanks to a Christmas gift card lol Was using inline bamboo hooks, but i left like they dragged & i wasn't going as fast as i had with a previous hooks. Great quality, good hand feel, doesn't feel too light or too heavy. Speed is way up, love how the aluminum glides through all kinds of yarn, pointed head is great to get into the stitches fast and easy

Received duplicate hooks, incredibly frustrating.

Extremely disappointed. I purchased this set mainly for the 2.75mm size hook. I'm making my own wedding dress and I needed the 2.75mm for the next hook size increase. Upon receipt of the set, I noticed that I did NOT receive the most important hook to me, the 2.75mm. Instead, I received TWO 3.50mm hooks (as pictured). So now, instead of being able to continue work on my dress, I have to wait for another set to be delivered. I will say though that the Amazon Customer Service department was very gracious and helpful in getting a replacement set sent out. It's just frustrating that this happened while working on something so important. I think the people at Susan Bates need better quality control, especially after reading some of the other comments on here. I can't say whether or not the hooks are more difficult to work with, because I can't work with them right now. I'll update once I receive the correct hook.****UPDATE**** I just received my second set of hooks (with all the correct and listed sizes with no duplicates) and can finally continue work on my wedding dress. These are by far my favorite type of hooks as the heads of the hooks aren't as round as the Boyle brand. For me, it makes crocheting much easier and much faster. Updating my rating as these crochet like a dream and I just might be able to pull of my wedding dress in the now week and a half I have left!
