Just bought Unbrella as a Xmas gift abd it is indeed heavier than other umbrellas I have had. I am not sure the recipient will want to carry this ( around in her bag) , but we will see. It is clearly compact and seems sturdy, but should not be described as lightweight for a ladies umbrella!
