Works on my 96 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 v8 5.0
I'm thinking this fixed the cold start issue on my 96 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 v8 5.0. I went through the list of cold no start issue's on my Chevy 1500 and I'm pretty sure this was it. I know it hasn't had the starting problem since I swapped this part out. I'm thinking it wasn't so much the sensor that was bad but rather the seal on this sensor that was missing. I changed this sensor on my truck once before and the cheap seal on the sensor kinda ripped and wasn't usable. The seal on this one was kinda the same flimsy construction as the one I replaced. I was just careful while installing the sensor and made sure not to break the seal. So far this has fixed the issue. I went through quite a list of fixes Fuel pressure regulator, Fuel Spider, Fuel Pump, Crankshaft Sensor, and this Camshaft Sensor. I can tell you this I'm about out of things to swap out.

Can Position Sensor - Perfect Fit - Great Price
This cam position sensor is a replacement for the original GM sensor in a 2003 4.3L V6, it fit perfectly and is functioning as it should. A bag with the needed new screws came in the box with the sensor. Looks to be a good item at a great price.

OBS Chevy READ!!!!!!
97 obs k2500 is what I bought this for. As the cheap one that came with an aftermarket distributor I replaced year ago had cracked. Only issue and why four stars was the gasket around it seemed to rip a little to easy. Still works and was priced right. If your experienceing loss of power go on ahead an unplug mass airflow first, I still no power? Then each O2 sensor and see if it runs better unplugged if so replace it. But if your buying this to fix the cam crank sensor code, she just needs the timing adjusted.

Didn’t work.
Installed on my truck. Now getting a p0341 camshaft position sensor error. Was changing it just to be proactive. I guess I should have left it well enough alone.
