Worth to read it!
I have completed 200 questions( 1/10 of the book). Honestly, the author has done very hard work to write the questions. He has provided detailed and exam based materials. He has done his best to explain each and every option in detail. The complexity of the questions will help understand the basic concept, and all that is needed to pass the test. I appreciate the author's hard work. This is a great book for psych board preparation. I have read different books for the board preparation but this is by far the best! I will update my review when I finish more questions.

A great book for serious residents
I loved this book. It has well written MCQs and better explanations. The information in it is very valuable and some of the questions on the exam are similar to the ones in the book. I recommend it to my fellow residents and any one looking for well written and answered MCQs

A MUST HAVE FOR PRITE AND ABPN
I am getting ready to do the ABPN certification examination September 2012 and would depend on this book for reviewing questions. I started using this book late 2010, and for the first time, scored in the 97 percentile on the 2011 PRITE.It is not possible for everyone to get the same feeling after reading or using a particular book. It is possible that those expressing frustration with the book are not used to this format of examination review, or have difficulty tolerating the few typos. My take on this book is that it is an excellent Q/A book for the PRITE and likely ABPN certification examination. The fact that the price of this book suddenly began to soar after ABPN changed the format of its board certification examination attests to how useful a lot of people are finding the book.I recommend this book highly, in spite of a few typographic errors; eg Test 1 describes MELAS as Movement of the eye, lactic acidosis, strokelike episodes.

Excellent review for ABPN
I quite can understand some of the frustrations expressed by other reviewers, but in my opinion, this was an excellent review book, given the dearth of review books for psychiatry boards. I must say that completing review of 2000 questions can be difficult (I completed 1600 questions finally)...but I used this book as my only review for psych and neuro questions ( + Kauffman's neurology + Kaplan and Saddock review book)....I passed my boards with more than flying colors...Doing PRITE questions will not be helpful by much....I would suggest this book for anyone who is willing to spend 2 hours everyday to review questions; and review the answers patiently...Final words, Great review book for ABPN boards compared to many others in the market....

Disappointed
I recently bought this book since it was new in the market and had one but high rating. I had completed doing all the old PRITEs and was wanting to practise more questions. I was disappointed though with the book. The questions do not reflect the PRITE style and so it does not resemble the ABPN style . Majority of the questions are written as, 'Which of the following is NOT TRUE', ''Which of the following is TRUE', 'All are correct EXCEPT' style. This makes the book boaring and uninteresting. Although they have provided some explaination, the references that they have mentioned are from older editions of Kaplan and Saddok and data is somewhat variant from the latest Synopsis tenth edition, again making it very confusing as to what to follow. Again not thorough explanation in terms of what made the other choices invalid or mentioning key words to look for in a question for it to be the answer etc,Print is small, so it strains the eyes and overall not a user friendly version. I did not find the book worth its price.
