Q: What's the difference between this one and the original Sushi Go version?

You get a lot more cards of different types and therefore can make many different menus (the rule book has several listed). There is also a board where you can put thick cardboard versions of the cards being used in the game. This helps everyone to know what is in the deck and how those cards score.

Q: is this game entertaining for adults only or best when played along with and primarily for children? Is it as fun for 2 than it is for more?

It's a lovely game for patient adults with fairly young children as young as eight. There is some subtle strategy the adults can angle while the kids go after the more obvious plays, but they even begin to pick up on the advanced notions. Sweet game with hidden pedagogical value!
