Working out perfect! Makes the drain look shiny and new, plus easier to clean than my mesh one, which also deformed somehow and started lifting when water was draining, allowing hairs to get under it (which I now have to fish out, as I didn't realize what had happened!) The mesh one didn't have as nice of a "chrome" (hope it is stainless!) ring around it either. I really don't know what happened to the mesh one, I suspect a teenage mancub or a kitty cat playing in the tub. But the same thing can not happen to this one. Jury is still out if it drains any different. I have only used it once so far and didn't notice anything. The mesh style clogs faster because slime (yuk!) plugs it more easily. Will update if drainage is an issue... I wish I could find the same a little smaller for my sinks. This will not fit.

I don't really use the big metal plug things in my bathroom sinks because they're clunky and they just get in my way. But I lost an earring down the drain once, and I'm always worried that I'll lose an air pod or something else while I'm brushing my teeth.I had bought a different kind of bathroom sink strainer before, and they were really annoying to clean because the "net" part was made of flimsy metal mesh. The metal mesh net part bent out of shape, rusted, and broke in spots, so that it would poke me when I tried to clean them out.These are great and they fit the standard bathroom sink drain perfectly. They even catch hair. They're easy to wipe clean, and they look nice. Just clean-looking, shiny metal.

Perfect fit in our kitchen sink. I love the convenience of the push button. The strainer works perfect to catch bits of food that end up in the sink and stays in the basket when you pull it out to dump it.

For a the past several years I had been buying wire-mesh hair catchers for my shower. They functioned well for a while, but always started breaking within a few months and then I would have to buy another one. This hair catcher functions just as well but seems much more durable. I have had it for over a month now and it does not seem to be showing any signs of weakness. It fits the standard size drain in my shower perfectly and seems to be catching all the hair. The only “negative” is that it does fill up with hair rather quickly, which can block the water from draining. However, I don’t think that is such a bad thing. I just reach down and empty the hair into a small trash can that I have placed next to my shower, and then put it back into the drain to continue my shower. The fact that it is filling up means that it is catching all the hair, right? I suppose they could have designed it with a deeper cup area, but I suspect that might cause it to not fit properly in the drain. Therefore, I conclude that it works well, seems very durable, and I can live with needing to empty the hair out once during the middle of the shower, and again at the end. That used to often happen with my old wire-mesh hair catchers as well.Seems to me like this is a solid product that works well.

These are a good weight.They are sturdy in the drain.I find them to look nice. Thestainless steel shines in the tuband keeps it clean.I like the quality and the valueis also good.Yes, I would recommend this product.

After unclogging my bathtub drain, my plumber recommended that I install a hair strainer so he wouldn't have to return in the near future. I was astounded when I did a search in Amazon at the huge number of different designs available. after the frustrating search, I finally found and settled on the Ohtomber Drain.Why?1. It catches all hair.2. It's easy to dispose of the hair that was caught.3. It does not impede the water flow.4. If you weren't aware of it's presence, you would not even know that it is not the original strainer. Some of the other strainers looked like a mad scientist invented them. (look at the picture)5. Very reasonable cost.What's not to like?

Hair strainer to prevent drain clogging. It works great and is easy to clean out.

It is nice that these drain plugs come in a pack of two so that they can easily be switched out when needed. I have long, thick hair and these work well to catch all of it - I don't have any issue with hair still getting down the drain. I gave them only 3 stars because I do not think they clean out well after each shower, and the bottom gets easily covered with grime and dirt build-up that causes the water to drain really slowly. I would say that I need to really deep clean them once a week or so.
