EASY JUST PLAIN EASY TO INSTALL AND OPERATE
I purchased this kit in August 2021, and I must say it was so easy to install I felt like I missed something, I even installed two torque levers just to make sure I wouldn’t have any problems with rounding out the forks and I gotta say it has been great ! Although not totally quiet, it’s whine isn’t too bad ( unless you have a rickety bike that loves to rattle). I just passed 1500 miles and the biggest issue I have, is No cruise control, my thumb cramps up.It’s fun to put it together and be able to get some good exerciseIt’s Feb2023 and I just passed 3500 miles with no problems until now. It started to act up a couple of months ago with power issues. With a full charge, no problem, but after a few miles the throttle cuts out when you try to accelerate. It’s making a growling noise, it would be nice if it can be rebuilt. If there is a parts breakdown and replacement parts are available it would make this kit a bargain.

Worked for the first 120 miles, and is now junk...
EDIT: 9/8/24 I had to come back here to update, cuz I was contacted by Hana from Customer Service (CSR), and she handled my concerns like a boss, totally professional, and in the end, I was sent a total replacement kit due to the unavailability of a replacement controller that apparently was faulty and that caused the wheel to lock up... Thank you Hana for going the extra mile for me to resolve this, and I appreciate your help in this matter... I am looking forward to getting back on the road again... AnthonyI really liked this unit when I first got it, and installed it... I managed to get about 120 miles of use with it before it suddenly stopped working and left me stranded a few miles from home cuz it felt as tho' something internally gave out and was dragging and causing the wheel to no longer roll freely, somewhat like a bearing going bad on you... The throttle indicator lights remained on (red, yellow, green), but when the throttle was engaged, there was no response... After managing to walk home with it, I flipped the bike over, and tried to turn the front hub by hand, and it was hard to spin, as tho' it was dragging on something... So I started to disconnect the wiring harness, and when I disconnected the 3-wires to the block (blue, green, yellow) the wheel spins freely... My guess is that the controller is bad, or the wheel motor, or both... I'm going to have to replace the unit, and this time I will try someone else...

Good quality
Straight forward. I am used to one thing but the old school terminal blocks was surprising for the wheel power and the battery. It made it easy to adapt it to my battery pack. The low end power is solid. I still haven't tried it at full speed as that is just too fast but it runs smooth. It's a bit touchy at first to get used to at low power but I am coming from a twist throttle to a thumb throttle ( I will adapt it later to a twist throttle). It seems to be a solid and well built kit and I recommend it over some of the others.

I did not what to put in here!
this 48v 1000w electric front motor wheel had bad controller that dose not work! it is junk so now I have to find one that will work and I have bot eight of them and all of them did not work. I don't know if they are new or used. so this controller in this 48v 1000w electric front motor wheel kit did not work! just junk. the motor wheel does work I tasted it with my ebike testing device and the wheel works good it's the controller that junk it not work! from JAMES some you have a nice day.

Decent kit
I've ridden on this kit for about a month, 3-4 days a week, and am very happy with it. It arrived with the tire installed and inflated, so was close to bolt-on. Figuring out how to rig the wires and store the controller was where most of the work went. The motor easily outruns any human powered cyclist, much to the chagrin of Washington DC type A cut-throats. As the other comments have said, it's best to have some mechanical knowledge when dealing with this. Specifically, wire routing skill (ie lots of zip ties) is a must. The other tricky part of the install was the rear wheel, which is too wide for a standard 26" mountain bike. I did install it in the end, but my rear wheel was horizontally offset by about half an inch. That's not an ideal situation if your wheel is offset like that. So you'd want to install this on a bike with a wider than normal frame. Were I buying this again, I would pay close attention to the required rear wheel width and find an appropriate frame. The throttle also tends to come loose sometimes, and I have to keep clamping down on the hex not to tighten it up. The included brakes shut off the drive when you brake, which is very helpful as a safety control becomes sometimes the throttle can stick, I strongly suggest installing them, and as before, this needs some experience or at least forethought in how to position controls on the handlebar. Having also installed a two-stroke motor on a bicycle, this kit was MUCH easier and is a much more fun ride. The two stroke is loud and angers people, this is a little more subtle, although people still get angry when you pass them!

Good deal
I bought this kit 2 yrs. ago and it has worked well. It's got good torque and speed. It's pretty basic with 3 lights to tell you the battery charge and doesn't come with a display. But if you want to get into ebiking cheaply I highly recommend it. You will have to get torque arms for each side, otherwise the axle will spin in the forks ripping the wires out.
