Does it sound like a Motor issue burned out
First 2018 bay fishing trip yielded issues w/ power pole not working Using switch on center console power pole would not work, but we heard a clicking noise near pump. Sometimes nothing so I was thinking the motor was the issue. So while cruising I tried the power pole using same switch and it began to work so I retracted. However, when we stopped to fish nothing again from power pole itself and no sound from pump area.Does it sound like a Motor issue burned out?Should I replace the entire motor and pump w/ Tilt & motor trim & power pole Pro 2 pump Pro F-4-6819

Buy with confidence. Fantastic customer service. Very well made & durable
I've had my Power Pole for 6 years and I love it. For the first 5 years it was absolutely trouble free and 100% dependable. I'm a guide and not sponsored by Power Pole. I'm very hard on equipment. This has held up very well to my abuse. In the past year I've had 2 problems with the PP. First was a pin hole leak in one of the hydraulic lines. I don't know if a client stuck the line with a hook or it just failed. Power Pole replaced the line free of charge. The second problem was the pole deployed as I drove home one day. There was no evidence of a hydraulic leak so the deployment had to be caused by activation of the pump. Either I accidentally activated the remote from the front seat of my truck or drove by a transmitter on the right frequency. I don't use a travel cover and the pump is wired direct to my cranking battery without a switch (the connection is fused). Either of which would have prevented the pole from touching the pavement. By the time I realized there was a problem, 12" of the spike ground off. Despite my failure to follow recommendations, J & L Marine (manufacturer) warrantied the spike and replaced it free of charge. They even covered the shipping. Power Pole products are well made, durable and and backed by a company that stands behind its product and values it customers. Buy with confidence. USE A TRAVEL COVER AND WIRE THE PUMP THROUGH A SWITCH. Don't forget to turn the switch off when your trailering.
