Incredible Value
Here's why you need this tool:1. Dependability: Air tools are simple, durable and generally more reliable. It has outlasted every other caulk gun I've ever owned. Very TOUGH.2. Quality: Mine was made in Taiwan, but I'd give a 9 out of 10 on quality. You can depend on it.3. Flexibility: This is the third best feature in my opinion. If you work with silicone, this thing will push it easily! If you use those hand-cranking guns, silicone caulk is dense enough to make life miserable after a few tubes in some cold weather. With this tool, I just adjusted my compressor pressure to 35 psi and let it rip...SO EASY. Latex caulk runs well at 20 psi.4. Speed: this tool is a marathon runner. If you're just using a few tubes of caulk, it's about as fast as a regular hand-cranking gun. But when you factor in fatigue after about 20 tubes, this thing will nullify it and you will be able to lay down far more caulk rather than taking breaks. Plus, you won't feel drained when you are finished, and you will most likely avoid tendonitis in your hand.5. Price: This is one of those rare items when you receive it, hold it and use it, you'll be scratching your head wondering how you ever got it for so cheap. It's about the same price as a decent quality hand-cranker. Seriously, the only things that even really compare are the battery-operated ones, but those can cost 10 times more than this thing. Here are the negatives:1. Trigger. Many reviews complain about it and I agree. However, I suggest gripping the gun BELOW the trigger and pushing UP on it from underneath with your index finger. This eliminates the pinch from pulling it like a conventional trigger. Also wear gloves for added protection.2. You need a compressor. If you already have one great! You have zero excuse for not owning one of these. If you don't own one, you'll have an added expense to consider before getting this tool. On the other hand, this gun uses very little air, so you can run it on the smallest of compressors.3. Connection to air hose. Two things: A) What the hell is up with manufacturers no longer including a 1/4 inch adapter? You'll need to go buy one because it's not included...charge me a little extra and save me an annoying trip to the hardware store to buy a part that costs less than $1 please. B) Hand-crankers and battery-operated guns are cordless, this one will eventually be attached to an air hose which can limit its range.4. Weight. It's a little heavy, but not bad. Some folks might complain, but I'd rather have a tough, slightly heavy tool versus a flimsy lightweight tool.SummaryI ripped through about 65 tubes of silicone on a cool day, and I didn't even break a sweat. No sore hands. No frustration. It's not perfect, but it's leaps and bounds ahead of anything else out there. And for the money, it just can't be beat.

Surprisingly effective
Just pumped 20 tubes of clear polyurethane in 35deg weather and it worked just fine. I had to trim the bottoms off some of the tubes so their tops would fit just inside the gun. The tubes were cardboard. Some, I trimmed too short and the tube rattled in the gun when not in use, but air pressure sealed them tight. I had to use 40psi, well above the recommended 10-20, but I had to pump a lot of cold caulk into deep gaps along a stone chimney. I read another review about leaking, and that he reduced it by putting thread seal tape on the bottom part of the the gun where it screws into the handle assembly. Not the air hose connection, but the main gun. It's threaded at both ends. At the top end, I used clear silicone grease (plumbing grease) on the rubber gasket at the top. It will make sense when you see it. Only air presses the caulk out. I was expecting to see some sort of arm. I didn't expect it to work with my cardboard caulk tubes, but it did. Can't believe I've gone 30 years without one of these. I can see the appeal of cordless guns, but I've never needed one before this job and wasn't going to drop $200 on a maybe. I already had the compressor and hoses. The manual says you can use the tiny (pancake) compressors. Air doesn't bleed off. It's not "consumed" like while using other air tools. Some is going to leak, but not much. I highly recommend this gun.

Decent value
Nice surprise.Trigger goes off easily if you aren't careful because of its awkward design. That said, this is robust and helpful for squeezing multiple tubes of material. If you're going to be doing 6+ 10oz tubes on the job, either get a sausage gun or 29oz gun and save $ on the material. If you hear lots of hissing or noises, check for cross threading because you should hear not much.

works extremely well
It's a great tool to have for when you have any amount of caulking. Easy to control the stream of caulk with trigger action and an air pressure regulator.

This thing is awesome. I don't mind spending money on good tools and I was skeptical of this. I had to caulk an entire house with 3 piece crown molding with a low VOC caulk which is super thick. Not only would it have taken me forever, I would have ended up looking like a fiddler crab with one arm immensely larger than the other. This tool delivers a consistent flow and is effortless. It stops immediately when you release the trigger so no lingering slop. The only minor complaint (and it could be the way it's designed) is that there is pressure loss around the screw on cap. Does not affect performance or flow but it will minimize the amount of psi in your compressor requiring it to kick on more frequently. I solved this problem with a few passes of pipe thread tape. I am so glad I bought this tool. I recommend getting an adjustment knob for a few bucks so you can regulate flow without adjusting PSI. I did not have any of the mess in the bottom of the tube associated with some other reviews. My suspicion is that the caulk tube is more to blame than the tool. With the caulk I had I had my compressor at 50 psi and no mess whatsoever. I am sure lighter caulks would be fine at 20 psi.
