So I bought this on a whim. I have several watches and had 4 that needed a new battery and 1 that need a new band. I've been taking my watches to a local jeweler and most of my batteries are dead again within 6 to 9 months. I call BS becayse I have watches that batteries last years.I also had a battery multipack from Harbor Freight already at home.Anyways here's how it went.Watch 1, replaced band, took 5 minutes.Watch 2, preyed off the back, new battery, done in 2 minutes.Watch 3, preyed off back, new battery, had to use the pressure press. A learning curve here but finally heard the click and sealed well. 15 minutes. Only because I had to pick out the correct size press pieces and figure it out. I would expect it to go must faster next time.Watch 4 & 5 required me to use the watch case opener. Lot easier to use than I thought, once again a learning curve. Didn't have the size battery so waiting on that but another easy fix.This kit is a great deal!

Great tools missing some thoughI had a time frame for this project and I needed it done in 2 weeks I ordered everything in advance and had been under the impression this would also come with watch hand pressers, it doesn’t. If you are buying a full kit find one with pressers or prepare to buy some on the side this really set me back

Always had watches buy never had the time to start fixing little issues as they come up. With this kit, it changes things. The big thing for me is the Case back tool. (Big blue thing with the plastic pieces). It is a dual purpose tool, which I love.So far have used it as intended and reinstalling snap case backs. But you can also use it to press out and press in new crystals. Makes crystal modding a breeze. Just take the back off with provided tools, remove the movement with provided tools, and press out your crystal.If you are a hobbyist and want a cheaper generic set of tools that will suit your needs, look no further. Bergeon makes stellar products, but not everyone is able or willing to fork up that kind of money.Only other thing I would get in tandem is a decent set of digital calipers.

First, I want to say that this review isn't exactly going to be glowing. TL:DR If you're just getting started in watchmaking or repair, it's a great starter set, with some caveats. Otherwise, look elsewhere.Okay, the caveats. There are 3 screwdrivers it comes with, of different sizes. Unfortunately, the straight blade tips are rough cut, aren't straight, and don't fit very well into the slots of screws. They are also very cheaply made and will inevitably break on you after using them just a few times on bound screws from say, old watches you're attempting to repair and/restore. That's probably the worst part.The movement holder isn't terrible, but as it's a rubber or...soft plastic material, it can grip the moment a little too much and not want to let it go if you tighten it down.Everything else seems to work fairly well from the kit and I've found uses for just about everything.The small pin pushers aren't used too much, but I HAVE had to use each of them at least once.The watch back remover works okay. Could be a little higher quality, but I would use it continuously for a long time without complaints.But the screwdrivers are the biggest issue and one of the most important. I don't use all of these tools every single watch. I do use the screwdrivers constantly, so it's the most important thing.
