Good For Small Projects
Worked well to replace a small bit of cracking grout in the bathroom. Pulled it up pretty easy and the tool worked well. I would not use this for anything larger than maybe 10-12inches, at most. Go electric for anything more.

Works great in combination with other tools
This is one of several tools I used to remove the grout from our bathroom floor. It is particularly good at scraping off the remaining bits of grout still clinging to the sides of the tile. While it is possible to attack grout with this tool alone, I found it easier to remove the bulk of the grout using a multi-tool fitted with a grout removal blade or a handheld grout saw (similar blade, but powered by elbow grease).I found I had to be even more careful with this tool than the even my battery powered multi-tool. It is very easy to chip tiles with this because of its sharp edges and the fact that the tungsten-steel alloy it is made from is incredibly hard.

Works pretty well
I used this to help with the grout removal of a tub/shower 4" tile (1/16th" grout line) installation, to help get to the spots the rotary tool couldn't reach or didn't clean well enough. Make sure you wear gloves, as the oxidation from the aluminum handle will blacken your hands in a short time, and you could transfer this to the tile or grout you're not removing. The handles are a bit long and it would be easier to control if they were shorter. But, all in all, it's a good tool, and pretty tough. I purchased 2 of them just in case it dulled, and I'm not seeing that happen. The 3 different sized cutters is a very useful feature, especially if your original tile installers weren't judicious about uniform tile spacing. And be careful to keep the cutter in the grout slot, as it will scratch your tile if you accidentally scrape across one. I would recommend this tool- it made the job easier, for sure.

Solid tool that works
I only have a medium size shower floor to remove the grout and this tool made it easy... with a little elbow grease it easily scraped out the grout in between our porcelain tiles. The 1/16" grout line was no problem. I used both "pointy" ends... the wider angle first to start the cut and then the narrow angle to gouge deeper into the grout. Angling the tool left and right to shave down the edges of the tile that had grout "down in there". Was dreading the DIY job but this made it easier than expected. I was prepared with other tools but ended up not using them. Makita Multitool and other carbide grout cutter

Works but it is very easy to chip tiles
I bought this tool to remove grout in 1/16" grout lines that I was having difficulty removing. I had used a similar tool that has a triangular shaped head with three different sized angles and it worked fine except it would not remove enough of the grout (i.e. it couldn't go deep enough). This tool definitely goes deep enough. The problem is that the design of the tool makes it very easy to chip the tiles, which I did on the first two grout lines that I tried to remove. I had used the triangular tool on my entire shower without chipping a tile and this tool chipped the first two tiles that I tried. So I would recommend practice on an area where you are going to replace the tiles or don't use it.

You have to know how to use it..
The tool is sturdy and the bit is hard and sharp. It has a couple different shapes to the bit to match the grout width/shape to the extent possible. It worked well on loose/cracked grout by digging it right out of there. But I had a little trouble when it transitioned from loose/cracked grout to intact grout as it would ride on top and cause me to scratch the adjacent tile. So be careful. Thankfully, fresh grout concealed the scratches and everything worked out. I recommend for the removal of damaged grout, but not for removal of intact grout. I used one of my DeWalt tools with a thin circle cutter for that.
