I love these pencils. They are different colors, but the lead is black and the writing is heavy and dark, just the way I like it. The eraser erases clean, no smudges. Just a great mechanical pencil. I've tried other mechanical pencils, but I find this purchase to be great because the writing is darker than the other brand I bought.
