Yak Bars
I don't like having to kind of buy everything separate here but in the end it all worked out... I have a 2014 WRX Hatchback and these bars look amazing and were fairly easy to put on if you know what you're doing a little but some. Once I hit about 45+mph is when I start to get the weird wind noise but it's not HORRIBLE if you crank your tunes up enough. Overall they are a really good set of bars and Yakima is the way to go imo.

Exactly what I wanted!
I've had a few Yakima products in the past and these are as good as the previous ones. Yes, they are just bars, but the quality and strength are still there. I have these installed on the bed of my truck with Yakima BedRock Multi-Sport Truck Bed Rack System and it works well. Yes they did not come with end caps, but the Yakima Bed Rack System I bought did include them. Not sure why they don't include them when you buy the bars though, but check to see if the rack system (I assume your going to get also) does include them. I use them to hold 4 bikes when we go camping. They flex a bit with the 4 bikes, but I'd rather have that to absorb the shock of my trucks stiff suspension rather than beat them up and destroy the bike carriers. I think of it like a shock absorber for the bikes. After using them for a while, I'd buy them again definitely.

I'm half way done installing this system on my 2013 CRV (waiting on my second order of clips) and it seems sturdy enough, just not very good looking
Make sure you order 2 sets of clips along with towers and poles. A set of clips for each set of towers.I'm half way done installing this system on my 2013 CRV (waiting on my second order of clips) and it seems sturdy enough, just not very good looking. As I'm sitting here after spending $350 for this system, which is incredibly overpriced (think about it, each set of clips, which are only 2 pieces of 4" metal is $20-$30 dollars each) I realize that I should have bought the 3rd party rails and cross bars for my Honda. It would have been a little more expensive, but it would have looked nicer.

Mount your stuff
Yakima stuff is great. I think I have had all of it at one time or another. Take these bars for example. I had a pair. I bought them for a vehicle years ago and then sold the vehicle. I know I didnt include the Yak rack with the vehicle, but I sure cant find those bars. Maybe they went to ebay or craiglist, but in any case they are no anywhere I can find in the garage, so Ill get some new ones. These are like other Yakima bars, but longer or maybe shorter, but I dont think Ive ever purchased longer ones than this. Their website is pretty great for telling you what length you need. I usually buy what the site says, They are round bars. They are metal. They are heavy. They are stiff. They are coated in a plastic sheath. They fit Yakima towers. They fit Yakima accessories. If you need them, you know it. Order them. You will love them.

17 yrs and 400,000 miles
The day I bought my '06 Tacoma, I also bought a cap and a set of Yakima Racks. After yrs of hauling lumber and surfboards, the plastic covers were splitting on the old crossbars. All else on the Yakima Racks was perfect. To celebrate the big 400K, I decided to replace the worn crossbars. The seller and the racks are great, product was shipped fast, and Yakima Racks are still the best bang for the buck.
