Rothco Heavy-Duty Canvas Shoulder Duffle Bag - Rugged Travel Gym Gear Equipment Bag

I was a good boy last year, so Santa brought me the 15 inch Rothco duffle bag for a tool kit to go in my zombie truck. I liked the bag so much, I wanted another one for for all my motorcycle heated gear. The 15 inch bag was a little small (especially the opening), so I skipped a size and went for the 19 inch bag (9" wide). It's longer and wider than the 15 and 17 inch bags (both 8" wide).The 19 inch duffle is a good sized bag with lots of room. I can't imagine how big the 24 inch duffle bag must be... I'll bet you a Slurpee a small horse could fit in that sucker. The 17 inch bag might have worked for me, but I can easily fit everything in this bag. With the extra space I can stuff even more cold weather motorcycle gear in there for storage.There's a nice zipper pocket on the side where you can store the shoulder strap when not in use (or other things). The bag has no other pockets. It's a pretty basic design which seems pretty rugged. Other reviewers complained the bag isn't washable. I don't plan on ever washing mine, so these should be fine for my purposes.I just wish I had bought the black bag because black is the official biker color of... everything. I'm just a sucker for military looking stuff so I bought the olive drab version. Either way I'm happy with it.

I used beeswax bars and a craft heat gun to wax this bag. I bought reasonably priced beeswax at my local awesome grocery store (Rainbow Grocery Co-Op!). You really, really don't need to buy the expensive canvas bars from the sort of snake oil stores whose clientele all have handlebar mustaches and fashy haircuts.. There are plenty of recipes for making your own bars. I just went with beeswax because I like how it smells, because I'm a gross girl.Anyway, it took a long time, but it was well worth it. I recommend waxing for added durability, some stain & dirt protection, and as a slight water repellant (but if you do, be careful how you clean it and neverrrrr just dump it in the washer and dryer). The color is much richer, distressed, and darkened after waxing. The shoulder strap isn't the most comfortable, but I use it mostly as a gym bag, purse/tote, or weekend car camping duffle, so I'm not walking long distances carrying it. And also it'd be easy to add padding to the strap, or switch out for a more comfortable one. I rarely use the handle straps and find them annoying but it'd look weird without them. This is just a really great, utilitarian bag with nice thick hardware and a simple, classic design, and customizable. I can imagine one covered in cool patches & pins, or embroidery.. literally a blank canvas, in a great way : )

For a simple bag, this thing is awesome. One main compartment, and one medium size side pocket on the side. I was expecting mid quality at this price but this is a very good bag, especially at this price. Seems like it would last a long time, and carries whatever I’ve put in it no matter how heavy. I’m impressed! and I’ve bought 2 for in-state travel - a big one for me and a mid size one for my son. I’m going to get another just for my dedicated gym bag.

I purchased this for my kiddos karate gear, it perfectly fits a waist belt, helmet, padded gloves and gi uniform. Rothco never disappoints with the canvas material either, very durable.

The canvas tote bag works great for short trips. It’s durable and very functional. The color is not has shown in the picture. It’s more tan then yellow

Wanted a good size travel bag for my kid that could be tossed in the wash in case of bed bugs. This was a nice size duffel bag and thick canvas.
