DurvetSpectra Shield Collar Attached Medallion, 56-Pound and Over

I have a 57 pound pit bull terrier. We live next door to a family with multiple dogs and the fleas that go along with them. I put this medallion on in May and take it off in October. My dog has no fleas. The ticks that bite her immediately die and can easily be removed. I check her for ticks daily so that none have a chance to cause any illness issues. This is my third year to use this medallion and it works perfectly. We also use a heartworm preventative but it does not cover fleas and ticks. So the medallion works great for our situation.

Was not impressed with these at all. Did not work on any of my dogs. It is also large. It is not safe for family and friends as they automatically touch it and say what is this.

I absolutely love these tags for my dogs. They keep ticks off my 2 labs. We live by a woodsy area and I never find ticks on them.

I have 4 large dogs (all 75# to 92#), 1 dog reacted badly (still paranoid after her skin reaction from topicals). I've bought these thru Amazon & other vendors (depending on pricing) for many years and I swear by them. Only 1 time did 1 drop off but I put back on (need to double-check clicking shut). I buy 8 (at one time) EVERY YEAR - I've only seen 1 (dead) tick on my younger boy. I won't buy any other type now.

It's been about a week and a half since I purchased this medallion, and honestly... not impressed. A few days after I received it,is when I thought, how could this possibly work? All flea and tick meds are either ingested or placed directly on the dog's coat. Even flea collars are touching their coats. This thing hangs and bounces back and forth, hardly touching. Fleas and ticks are still there, same as before. I had a choice of ultrasonic or this and the ultrasonic makes more sense because I've used ultrasonic for rodents for years, and I am mouse free. I just thought ticks and fleas can hear?I don't recommend this product, especially if you have neighbors with dogs/cats on either side of you.

I was skeptical at first but these collar tabs really work! We live in Kansas and the dogs have free reign over the fences 1.3 acres-they’re in and out all day! We have five dogs - I’ve found a few ticks walking the doggos but none imbedded. And there are NO FLEAS on any of the animals. They stay on their collars even with all the rough housing and zoomies-and it’s a much more affordable way to keep them pest free! There is no smell and it makes me feel better that the repellent isn’t directly on their skin!

I have 2 large dogs in the beginning i was using the products that monthly you have to squeeze the vial on their neck and my dogs would run around dive on the ground and scratch the back of their neck almost as though the products were burning them. I had to find something better!! so i looked around and found these spectra shield light bulbs as I call them. let me say this for roughly $40 a year my dogs are protected. I have very rarely found a tick and never a flea and when I found ticks they were dead already. best product I've ever used on my dogs will use them always
