These Aluminum molds are great!
Lee molds are just tremendous. Unless you are careless with them, they'll last indefinitely, but not forever. I have this exact mold that has produced about 25K (based upon primer usage) and still works well. It is showing some signs of wear on the sprue plate and at the edges of the bullet base, but VERY MINOR. I expect to get another 15K or so out of the original. So why did I buy a second? Because I can flat throw the bullets out running 2 molds. Some key best practices, meaning YOU BETTER DO THIS to keep them running well. 1. Read the directions. 2. Get some high temp axle bearing grease and use it where they tell you. 3. Clean the mold with Gun Scrubber before use. 4. PRE HEAT THE MOLD by dipping the front edge into the lead for 30 seconds to a minute before pouring. 5. You need Flux. Don't skip flexing your lead. If yo do these things, you'll love these molds.

200-gr RNFP, a winner!
I've had a total of three of this 6-cavity mold and all have been good for casting a LOT of bullets [meaning I don't have to fight the mold to get it to drop bullets and it starts casting acceptable quality bullets after a brief warmup]. The bullet design works in 1911's and it's all I shoot in 45-colt. If I had to pare down to a single mold this is the one!

Lee molds and handles for reloading can't be beat. They're the best. Ask any loader and they will say the same. Because I bought it on Amazon, I got the best price and delivery in a heart beat. Best move I've made was to get Amazon Prime.
