Will this fit in the first chamber of a coralife bio cube 29 gallon tank. does it need to be modded? can you have the full hood/lid and close it?

To fit in the first chamber I had to trim the plastic trim back to get it to fit. It fits , but you can’t put the lid on. Unless you cut a hole in it.

would this fit on a normal 20g reef tank?

I believe so but unless you have a sump it can be in..it would need to be inside the tank not hanging on the outside of it. It does come with suction cups and a hanger that attaches to the unit so you could hang it on the inside of the tank from the back or side. Hope that answers your questions.

Will this fit in the first chamber of a nuvo fusion 20 gallon?

Hi John - We've never tried in the aquarium you mention. Like we state in the first bullet point on the Amazon product page it's really best you measure the filter box area on your tank and if you have a space at least 3.5" Wide x 3.5" Deep then our skimmer should fit as long as your tank doesn't have a hinged canopy since the skimmer will sit above the tank frame and the canopy wouldn't be able to close.
