This was for my son who had a stroke 2 years ago and still didn't recover the full use of his left side and his foot was still dropping so the Orthopedic suggested purchasing this and so far it has improved his walking and helped his knee from locking. I got a Medium/large, he's 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds, It fits him perfectly.

love it! I was originally thinking of getting a version from a different manufacturer with the ratchet type thing, but if in case the cord breaks on that one, its so hard and very expensive to get a replacement cord. so I got the core afo and it's the most practical solution for foot drop. velcro is nice and doesn't lose grip after a while. if in case the tube breaks, a replacement is readily available for just eight bucks.. or you could use a bungee cord from the hardware in a pinch. I can literally use any pair of shoes I want (even my Birkenstock sandals) ! made with pride in the good old USA.

This is my most used AFO for my foot drop between my carbon fiber AFO's and all the other styles that attach to shoe laces. It is kind of large and bulky but it helps lifts my foot while allowing me to plantar flex also,so I still have some range of motion. I use this one on my right foot as it allows me to drive a lot easier due to rubber cords pulling my foot up and still allowing me to push down. You can adjust the amount of lift on the rear of the AFO by sliding the rubber strap through 3 different loops. It helps keep my foot up while walking and lessens the slapping when I put my foot down and I still can let my ankle move vs. my carbon fiber AFO's , which don't really allow any flexion. This attaches to metal clips that go through a shoelace eyelet ,so there is no pulling of the laces like with other AFO's. I bought a 2nd one of these for my left foot also as I have bilateral foot drop. I would absolutely recommend trying this AFO to see If it works for you. 4.5 stars

Best support ever for foot drop! Allows me to get my foot in contact with the ground.

Tried XS/S based on sizing chart which didn’t fit and was way too small and slid down my leg. Then tried M/L which also slid down my leg. Thankfully first return was easy so hopefully I am not stuck with the second one. Why did you pick this product vs others?:Recommended by PT
