Q: Do i need to hook up power to this mic for it to work? i have ip cameras and the power for the camera is running through the cat6 cable.

Dear Ryan, Thanks for your question. If the power for the camera is running only through the cat6 cable, then you need a separate power supply. For example, DC12V 0.5-1A. If the camera has another power connector, then you can take the power here. Usually, it happens.
