Fantastic improvement!!!!!
I installed this on a 4.7 lieter stroker I built 2 years ago. I was running the stock throttle body because at the time was running out of money to throw at it. Finally bought the bbk this summer along with a spacer and a high flow intake every thing worked together quite well ! The only issue I Ran into was with the throttle body spacer bolts the had a regular bolt head on them and could not be used because there was no way to fit a socket on them and the bbk ones were to short because they didn't expect for a spacer so I had to go buy some longer bolts like the bbk bolts at the hardware store.THE POWER INCREASE IS EXPONENTIAL....keep in mind I put this on a 4.7 but however if you are running a stock 4 leiter and running larger than stock tires you probably have the overdrive gear power loss problem i used to with my stock 4 leiter . My belief is this upgrade along with the spacer and intake you will experience a vast improvement best I can figure this combo probably will add at least 15 possible 25/30 hp to your motor also if you upgrade your injectors and rails you may even get more

Easy install, obvious difference!
Arrived on time, installed in just a few minutes using existing components. The gaskets supplied seal well, and the 5mm hex bolts supplied also fit properly. When bolting this throttle body to my 1994 4.0L intake, you do notice the obvious step down from 62mm in the throttle body, to 60mm on the intake, however I did notice an immediate increase in throttle response! It seemed to smooth out the power band as well, allowing my Cherokee to pull up hill much easier.I live here in Colorado at 6200ft, so a definite improvement!Remember that your intake/head/exhaust is only as strong as it’s weakest link. So if you just put this throttle body on without opening up any other passages, you may not see an obvious improvement. Make sure to go the extra mile and install a cold air intake, and high flow exhaust to compliment this throttle body. As you have to remove the intake to replace the exhaust manifold, you might as well gasket match and port the intake to the head, as well as the inlet to the plenum to the throttle body, which can be done with a marker, new gaskets, and a Dremel with an aluminum burr.Ported the intake inlet for the TB and the runners into the head, definitely feel a difference in overall powerband still! I’ll say that my idle set screw was low enough that the throttle plate sat flush against the TB bore, enough to stick the throttle closed. A minor adjustment and new loctite solved the issue though. Definitely worth it if you’re looking to squeeze performance out of your 4.0.

Good stuff!
Installed on a 95 XJ 4.6 stroker motor. Have a full exhaust system and a cold air intake installed as well, plus injector and a cam and other goodies. I kept my stock TB because I was concerned about tip in throttle response, being a manual trans, it can be hard at keep from breaking traction. This was actually improved as well as a smoother throttle response in general. Very pleased with the product. Seems quite well made. I had no issues with the fitment of the sensors nor the gasket. The hex bolts in my kit were stainless. If you have a performance 4.x this is an excellent option to help smooth out the rough edges of having a performance minded XJ.

Works great, but expect to modify it to make it work out of the box.
The throttle-body itself works great and was a solid improvement over the OEM part, but expect to fix some things out of the box. On mine, the accelerator plate (where all the cables attach) was bent horribly and it took some work to straighten it out. The gaskets that come with the unit are hand-cut and they work, but they're not exact and needed some trimming to fit properly. Depending on how bad yours happen to be, you might need to buy some gasket material and make your own. The unit came with mounting bolts but not the ones to attach the sensors, and given their tendency to corrode or break when trying to remove them from the original, expect to measure them and order some replacements from Fastenal or McMaster-Carr. The bolt-holes for the sensors aren't fully threaded like the OEM unit, so your fasteners must be the full original length to work or they won't grab onto any threads. As for the performance of the unit, it's hard to tell in my case because my OEM throttle-body had a vacuum leak on the accelerator shaft, so part of my performance gain was likely due to fixing the leak. That said, there is a definitive increase in throttle-response and the vehicle does feel faster if only because it responds to input almost immediately. Considerable difference even against my other Jeeps with (functional) OEM throttle-bodies. As for mileage, I'm getting the same mileage as before, but I've also been driving it harder since installing the part, so if you can keep your foot out of it, you might actually see a 1/2 to 1mpg gain. All in all, I'd say this is a worthy part for the cost, especially considering how much other performance throttle-bodies cost. If you're like me and replacing a faulty OEM unit, it's a no-brainer as this is still cheaper and you'll gain a little drivability as a bonus.
