Can I use the standard lithium battery with this instead of the hp battery?

You can but there will be a performance decrease with the standard battery. You get better performance with the hp batteries but it still works with the regular lithium ion batteries. Cheers!

Why does the Ryobi p262 impact wrench keep coming up as hex we need square?

I checked the Ryobi site and Amazon. Both sites dont comment about a Hex drive, which would be 6 sided. I have a P262 Brushless 18V, 1/2 drive.

How much tightening torque in each mode? I know mode 3 is 450. What mode 1 and 2?

I haven’t theory crafted this and found no documentation other than the rpm’s of each setting If mode 3 is 450 @ 2800rpm Mathematically it should have around 320ft/lb @ 2000rpm in mode 2 and 200ft/lb @1200rpm in mode 1.
