Excelent. I will use it a lot not only for camping, but during the storm
every camping friend is buying one. When I stayed without electricity during the hurricane, i cooked with it for me and my neighbors

Poor quality control. Arrived broken
Item appears as adverised. It’s made of thin sheet metal steel and has sharp edges. The kit does include a package of 24 fuel pucks.Quality control is poor. The stove I received arrived broken. One of the rivets holding the stove together arrived broken.BUYER BEWARE! Because this kit contains the fuel pucks, which are a hazardous material, Amazon does NOT accept returns for this product! This is intended to be used primarily during an emergency. So if you buy one of these stoves, be certain to open it an look at it when you get it. An emergency situation is NOT the time to discover that your equipment is broken! All of that said, I was able to easily repair my stove with a rivet. It can also be repaired with a bent nail. Works perfectly then.As far as performing as designed, HECK YES!! The original design of these was as an army stove. Smokeless heat. Fuel is completely consumed with no ash or traces left. If you’re not in a tactical environment, you can use this as a twig stove and just use a fuel puck to start the wood ablaze if you want to. First time I tried it, it quickly boiled a 7.5oz can of chili in less than a minute. The head is not adjustable, of course, and is quite hot. It heats the bottom of the pot/can you have on it so you need to keep stirring. It will scorch the food on the bottom but leave the top cold if you don’t stir thoroughly. Extinguish the fuel puck easily simply by blowing on it like a birthday candle. Steel stove cools quickly so you can be ready to pack up almost immediately.Definitely belongs in every backpack, bug out bag, get home bag, emergency kit. ABSOLUTELY!! 3 thumbs up!

Very good compact heat source and stove
A couple of years ago we had a really bad winter storm that knocked power out for almost a week. Temperatures were below freezing the whole time and it was cold in the house. This would have really come in handy for cooking. We had a fireplace but no set up to cook over the fire. This could be set up on the fireplace slab for cooking stuff like canned food and ramen noodles. Good for camping as well.

Works great with alcohol stove
One should know that the included burner tabs are limited in their use I boiled about a cup of water using three of them it did bring it to a rowing boil before they ended it is best to use additional pot fans to enhance the performance however what I did find is that if one uses an altoids-based alcohol stove inside the stove itself it will boil water and also act as a windscreen fantastic application. If one is looking for means to create set of alcohol stove The YouTube channel waypoint survival has excellent videos and examples of how to make an alcohol stove. Bruce may have a different opinion I think for $6 this was an absolute steal

Sturdier than I thought it would be
This little stove is cool! When I took it out of the package, I noticed it was more substantial and sturdy than I thought it might be. Looks like it will last, and doesn't seem flimsy at all. I tried it out, using the included fuel tabs, and it worked fine. Easily adjustable for smaller or larger pots/pans. Nice that you can use alternative fuels with it too. Good thing to have on hand in these uncertain times. No matter what happens, you'll be able to heat your food, and it's small enough to store almost anywhere. Good buy!

Yes and No..
The media could not be loaded. We tried to use it as directed to heat water in a kettle...pot did not sit even, was shaky.. not good for sturdiness/safety.. No easy way to keep adding fuel source, as flame does not last long with white fuel source offered with item..just have to keep lifting pot off of the "stove"..We attempted to add little wood sticks to make fire warmer/higher/last longer..this did work better..but no catch for ashes, so we made sure to put foil under it first, to have a safe burning area..but still had to keep lifting pot off to add fuel sourcePROSWhite fuel bits are great fire startersWorks ok for little campfire modeGood for a pinch if you have nothing elseCONSNot very durable or steady with a pan/pot on itCant use other fuel sources with it, like gel fuel or bio fuel, flame goes out,so left using sources that leave a mess below the cooker, with no "catcher" for debris (so we used aluminum foil to catch burn offNo easy access, while cooking ,to add more fuel source to keep fire goingNot bad-but not greatDoable if you have nothing else, or want to cook marshmallows or hot dogs, or anything on a stick, but not my first go-to choice for a hiking/camping stove.
