This is a great invention. It allows one to easily hold a book open with one hand, thus ideal for reading in bed or when you need to keep another hand free. The tool is made of wood and won't mar pages and there are different silicone rubber inserts to size the device for your thumb. Unless you have NFL football player meathooks for hands, you will likely find a size that fits your hand.

I find it awkward to use, my instincts want me to hold the book at an angle and the page holder just doesn't work well if not straight. But if it is straight it is not comfortable.I should've listened to other reviews I saw that mentioned this issue

Saw this on the Today Show and thought it would be helpful. Some days it’s comfortable to use with arthritis in my thumb, other days it isn’t. Glad that there were multiple sizes to choice from. Beautiful wood finish
