It’s worth it
Very easy to use, comfortable grip good quality. Make sure the unlock switch is facing up or sideways otherwise it can lock in the process, with that in mind this works great. Worth your buck.

WORKS BEST ON SHORT TAILED EYELETS
The media could not be loaded. Be careful how you set your eyelets they may get stuck inside that knob that goes in and out if you lay in upside down.Trust me it was hard work getting it out.also this doesn’t work on eyelets that have a long tail for lack of a better word. I got them in both colors, the pink one clicks whenever I press it close while the blue one doesn’t,it might just be my pliers.though they both work . This works better for eyelets than grommets. It needs more range to really lock in the backside of my grommets. The hole puncher works great on fabric .

So many improvements from my 1st Gen!
Update: found my 1st generation cropadile, so I'm adding pics for comparison. The new one is a bit lighter in weight, and I find the new one to be slightly easier to squish than the OG cropadile. I agree with another reviewer about the plastic stoppers on the hole punch sides. Loose, wobbly, not a smooth or straight slide up down the measuring track, and the new one does not lock in place like the original. Overall, the cropadile is a great tool.First, it gets no prettier than rose gold and pink. The cubes are replaceable now, there's a lock to keep it from being sprawled when stored, it's smaller than my 1st generation crop-a-dile and I believe the handles might even be thicker around. I can't find my original one to check side-by-side, which is why I bought this one. But to me, the handles look and feel more like the stout ones of the WAMK corner chompers. I do feel as though the original C-A-D required less squeeze strength. But again, I don't have the old one on hand to test my theory. I just know it was a super easy squeeze to punch holes and set eyelets, and the new one feels like more strength to complete the squish is needed. Because I can't commit to memory what settings to use for the different sizes of eyelets, I punched a hole in the handle cover, set an eyelet and laminated the cheat sheet to keep it with the tool. Hooray for a way upgraded craft tool!

This thing is stout!
Very handy and I love that it has a locking feature so little hands don’t get hurt.
