Great tool for infrequent use
This handheld doweling jig is a great addition to my tool box. I’ve never done doweling before but the directions got me going on my first attempt. It is very accurate when you set it up precisely. Although it is handheld, I strongly suggest using a clamp to hold it while drilling - it’s too awkward to hold the jig and drill accurately with only two hands. Also, you need to plan ahead as to where things will land (pins can be no closer than 2 inches apart) or the jig will get in the way of itself.

Great starter kit, but buy some better quality bits.
Great dowel jig kit, well thought out and easy to use. However, If you're going to be doing fine woodwork, do yourself a favor and buy a quality set of brad point drill bits. The ones supplied with the kit are OK, but not great, and tend to wobble while getting started (even shown in their own video), making for a rather loose dowel fit . Also, I recommend that you double up on bits and collars. It's tedious to adjust the hole depth when doing repetitive joints. Easier to just swap out the bits. Bottom line, though... great value, and a great introduction to using dowels for joinery.

Love the jog. Makes joining a breeze
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)This dowel jig kit is a great value and super easy to use. Everything feels solid and well-made, and the self-centering pins make lining things up really simple. The different bushing sizes give you flexibility for different projects, and the included drill bits, depth stops, and glue are a nice bonus. Perfect for DIYers or anyone looking to make strong, clean joints without fancy tools. Highly recommend!

Perfect All-in-one kit for Home Projects
The kit comes with easy to follow instructions and truly provides virtually everything you might need to make several dowel joints. Just add a drill and clamps and you're all set. The distance fence is not particularly heavy duty, but it functions just fine and is certainly adequate for most jobs. I have only rudimentary carpentry skills and was able to quickly edge join a couple of excess hickory boards to make a decorative shelf. Total time involved, including reading instructions was about 30 minutes from start to clamping. The centering function is simple and accurate, the depth collars fit and work well enough and the final result looks professionally done. Great value and function for the home handyperson!

Woks good.
Works great. Easy to use. I had to chop the obnoxious handle off to allow the jig to fit in tighter spaces but very durable. Slightly unstable without clamp supports but works fine. No issues.

Accurate and easy to use
Surprisingly accurate. I was able to put together the carcass for an entertainment center very quickly with a combination of dowels using this jig and screws. The alignment is perfect and the instructions make the jig very easy to use. No need for anything fancier or more expensive.

Jig handle is way too unstable
Concept is great, and all the videos show it performing flawlessly. I, however, could never get the handle to stay in place so the drilled holes were in a predictable, and repeatably, place. Out of 15 attempts, 1 aligned properly, 4 (edge attempts) chewed the wood to uselessness, and the remaining were "random" screw ups. I'm sure it's a matter of practice, but I screwed up 15 boards trying to do it once, and after the 15th attempt I couldn't determine what I was doing incorrectly, so I had no idea what to correct ... and gave up.
