Really well made. Exceeded my expectations.

Much better than I was expecting. It’s by no means a Stetson, but definitely feels and looks better than a “costume” hat. I have a large head and this fits perfect. Zero complaints at this price point.

I bought this hat as I was speaking to a group about the civil war and wanted to have a little bit of character with the hat. It did the trick. AS a novelty item it is great. I think the hat is a bit cheaply made but the price was in line with what I expected. So if you want a cavalry hat as a novelty YEP I think this is good. If you want a hat to wear around day to day....well,...no....I wouldn't want to get this hat wet. I suppose it does give some shade with the wide brim.

Obviously shouldn't have passed inspection. The ornamentation is glued in place and can not be moved. The ornamentation was out of alignment with the hat.... a very peculiar look!

My son needed this hat to complete his look to go to DCI to cheer on The Troopers. (If you know, you know). It’s good quality and fit his head ok. His head is not small and he was able to wear it without looking crazy

Hat is cheaply made with some kind of soft felt material. Rifles and yellow band are superglued on. THE BOTTOM SECTION OF THE HAT IS UNEVENLY SEWN TO THE TOP. This is the most frustrating part, looking at the hat from a birds eye view, it looks like who ever constructed this hat did not care at all and took 10 seconds to sew it together and threw on down the assembly line without another thought. It was also packaged in a way that the hat came to me deformed. one side is sticking way up, the front middle of the brim is waveband the other side is flatter. I took steam from an iron to it for a while and it did not fix the problem at all. If you are looking for a cheap hat, maybe get a better one. This is probably only good for one time Halloween costume that you don't care about too much.

For an inexpensive costume hat, this is great, I was surprised to find that it can be shaped just like a “real” hat. The next step up was a beaver-felt Stetsons and while you can re-block a Stetson for, well, a lot longer than I plan to be around. Go with the Stetson if you think you’ll really wear it, but for my purposes, this is great
