I see its distributor is in the USA, but where do the ingredients come from and where is it manufactured?

We are based in Waynesboro, VA and Lubbock, TX and we buy USDA Organic Grains from farms in the surrounding states. We do not import organic grains from overseas. We are committed to only sourcing North American grains and they must be USDA Organic Certified. I hope that helps!

Can the seeds/grains sprout?

No, these seeds have been cracked through a roller mill and wont sprout. You should try our unmilled version of our layer feed for that. It is not currently offered on the Amazon marketplace

This product, which is organic, includes a synthetic vit k supplement.......menadione dimethylpyrimidinol bisulfite. why is this?????

Great question! For our products to be considered a complete feed, they must contain the proper vitamins and minerals needed to meet recommended dietary allowances (RDAs). Since there are currently no organic livestock vitamin k supplements on the market, the use of this product is approved under the National Organic Program ruling 205.600 and 205.603, specifically. Can this be fermented?
