Pricey, but great combination unit
I'll review this from a few of the most important standpoints.Size:- It's definitely not small! That being said, before I had a heater and air purifier separately and when stacked this is smaller than those two together. I think it's important to recognize the combination. The footprint itself isn't huge, but it's tall.Sound:- Fan Mode: On a moderate speed of 3 (out of 6) it's still very quiet. On 4 it's pretty noticible. Anything higher it's kinda loud. It's moving good volume of air though at those speeds. I find that even at the moderate speeds it was sufficient air for my office.- Air purifier: A little more quiet than the fan modes at the same speeds- Heat: Again on speed of 3, but it's much much louder. I don't find it louder than my previous infrared heater.Air volume: Good in all modes. It can really put out in the high modes at sacrifice for quietness.Oscillation: Nice to have to more evenly distribute airflow.Remote: I like that it docks in the top of the device with magnets, but feel it's a missed opportunity to have it charge as well. At this price point, it would have been a nice value add.Overall:I think this is a solid unit that would do well for use in a variety of rooms. The lights are controllable so would turn off in a bedroom, and I could see the sound being a good white noise for folks that like that. I appreciate the variable options between heat and fan and really looking forward to that in places like my office that fluctuate wildly.

Fan and Heater in one.
Great product. The heater isn't too powerful, but it can warm up a small room.

Fresh air, mostly hassle-free
I’ve been using the Shark 3-in-1 Air Purifier for almost a year now and overall it’s done a solid job. The 3-in-1 design tackles dust, odors, and allergens effectively, and I’ve definitely noticed less dust settling on surfaces. The air feels cleaner and fresher, especially in rooms that see a lot of activity. The unit is easy to set up and the controls are straightforward, which I really appreciate. It runs quietly most of the time, so I can leave it on in the bedroom without being disturbed, and the compact design fits nicely into my space without being obtrusive. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that the filters are a little pricey to replace, and I sometimes feel like it struggles a bit with strong odors compared to higher-end models. That said, it’s still a reliable and convenient purifier that gets the job done for most everyday needs.

Wasn't sure about this at first, but love it now
First, this unit is much bigger than I expected. I always check product dimensions, but somehow didn't anticipate a slimmed-down version of R2D2. What I also didn't expect was that I was buying a refurbished unit. I read all the specs and product details multiple times before making my purchase, but did not see any mention of the item being refurbished. That may have been my oversight, and regardless, it's now working like a champ, and my home smells a lot cleaner. I'm trusting that the air really is cleaner, too, because I live on a street with lots of traffic that generates unhealthy particulate matter.Reading other reviews, I was concerned about the product off-gassing an unpleasant chemical smell, but it turns out that the smell isn't from the unit itself. It's the actual filter that smells and emits a toxic fug. When removing the filter from the unit to take off the plastic it's sealed in, the smell was released, and when I went over to check if the unit itself smelled as well, it didn't. But the filter smell dissipated fairly quickly, so it wasn't an issue.Immediately after turning on the unit for the first time, at the highest fan setting, the readout was showing the air quality at 100%, which was highly unlikely, considering that I live next to a very busy street, and hadn't been using my other air purifiers for a while. And I would have expected that the initial toxic filter smell alone would have caused the initial readout to be lower. But despite that, it's been working fine since and appears to now be showng accurate air quality and temperature readouts. It's said that one of the most common household pollutants is generated when we make toast. I was happy to see that when I make toast, the Shark air quality readout lowers almost immediately (even though I always use the kitchen extractor fan when toasting bread) , so it seems that the air quality gauge is now providing what I assume is more or less accurate data. The filter also efficiently rids my apartment of cooking smells from adjacent units. It does it so well that even if that's all it did, I'd be happy enough to have bought it for that alone. I have other supposedly high-quality air purifiers, but they couldn't cope with cooking smells very well at all.The temperature readout on this unit is always correct. I have several free-standing temp gauges in my home, and they all show the same indoor temp as on the Shark unit. As for the fan-only function, it probably wouldn't be effective if the unit were placed several feet across a room, but that's not a deal-breaker as my Dyson tower fan does such a great job that it cools from afar, even on the lowest setting. So, overall, I'm very happy with the air-cleaning function and fan function on this unit, and the few times I've use it in heating mode, it quickly warmed up my good-sized, high-ceilinged living room, and I never had to have it in heater mode for more than 10 minutes, which is helpful given the skyrocketing electric rates in California. So overal l-- and especially for a refurbished unit -- this multi-function air purifier is effective, efficient and a great value.

Great temperature control and air quality
This is a great 3 in 1 for heat and cook with air purifier. It’s great in my office and heats or cools the room during the day. Auto off and on to keep a consistent temperature. plus purified air!!

A 2 inone machine with a reasonable price compare to Dyson.
For a machine with both heater and air filter function, it's isn't noisy. The heater element gets up to temperature quick and starts warming up the room quickly. Having filtered air with the heater function in one machine is great. We don't need to have 2 machines running in our child's room now. The machine isn't too heavy so you don't need to worry of it tipping over if bump into it. It is as quiet a smaller Dyson model we had with the same functions but at half the cost.
