Works as intended, the 1hp 115v is a 2 wire pump with built in capacitor no control box needed
THESE ARE 2 WIRE PUMPS. VEVOR PLEASE CHANGE YOUR LISTING, IT IS CURRENTLY INCORRECT AND HAD ME ORDER A CONTROL BOX THAT I NOW NEED TO RETURN. YOU DON'T COUNT THE GROUND WIRE FOR THE WIRE COUNT IN A SUBMERSIBLE PUMP!For the money, this is another big win by vevor. My well is old and shallow at only 50' with a casing that has an estimated only few years left on it, so I didn't need an expensive complicated rig. This pump suited my needs fine. It's been about 24hrs since install, so I'll ofc update if anything changes. The complete well system (other than the hole and casing that I already had) cost me less than 1000$ Not bad at the end of the day.

If the first one acts up don't give up, just send it back!
The first one I ordered was bad from the start. I was able to use it with less than the rated performance for two days before it gave out completely. I returned it and they sent a replacement. It worked perfectly. I'm able to pump around 27 gpm 130 feet up from the bottom of my well to the top of my water tank. I can fill the tank 15,000 gallons in 9 hours. I bought the 4 year extended warranty but for the price I paid its just icing on the cake. Great little pump. I just ordered another one to keep in the shed as backup for our small farm but I'm not counting on needing it.

Huge waste of money and an enormous night mare.
This is the worst pump we have ever used. We have had nothing but problems from the time we lowered it into the well. Please do yourself a favor and get a different pump. I can't say that it is the brand because this is the only item we have purchased from this manufacturer, but I can say that this pump has been a nigh mare for my family. It has been less than 2 months since we installed it and we have been able to have the water on for less than 1 accumulated week. At one point we had it on for a full day so we thought that we had figured out what was going on. Nope, the next morning it stopped mid shower and hasn't been working since. I will definitely be returning this item.

So far its flawless
I have had this .5hp pump for almost a year. I have it in a shallow 4" casing well that is about 17 feet deep and pumps up a hill about 40 feet. This is an old off grid well and I run this pump on a 2300 watt generator when I am there. It has pumped many many gallons without any issues and has great pressure. I definitely would recommend this pump.

I'm impressed and still am after several months. And is why I wrote a review.
I saw bad comments or reviews before I bought this product..But I bought it at a discount on Amazon resale for a good price. And I had to give a review on it..Because I had my doubts but took a chance anyway. And I am impressed with it.Added a check valve..because why would you not.Makes it easier on the pump also is for back up in case the built in check valve in the pump fails.I have had it for several months now and still going strong. It pushes hard and only takes a few seconds to trip the 60 psi pressure regulator. And it being only 120 volts is pretty impressive. My well is deep or drilled deep. But I only have it about 35' to 40' down it the the well. And that gives me about 20' down under the water. It even came with the different tapes needed.I use mine on solar and batteries with a inverter and why I wanted the 120 volt. But if possible and you have to go deep down the well.I would suggest 240 volt pump. The wire is cheaper and the cost of running the pump is cheaper. That enables it more powerful for pumping.I don't care about cost of power because I don't pay a power bill.Mine works great and has for a good while.I recently opened up a valve to find some water line that where covered up with the removal of some old trailers and houses that are up hill from the well. Its around well right under 400' away and about well about 15 to 20' in elevation. The pipes where clogged with dirt and hidden under ground.i knew about where they were.but not exactly. So if the pump wouldn't push it out to reveal where they were.I was going to have to do a lot of digging.Well it took a few minutes but it pushed the clog out and push the water up to the top showing me where the pipes where. So with that I have nothing to say bad about this pump.Nothing but + signs from me on this pump.

Wow! Better than $400 pump!
I'm impressed! Pumping so good! Seems to be smoother than the $400 pump that went out after only 1yr. I was planning on using this as a temporary fix, while the $400 is being repaired or replaced by the manufacturer. I'm probably just going to let this pump stay in place until it goes out. Hopefully years!
