Crystal-clear footage and impressive features at a great price
After a lot of research, I decided on the IIWEY EY02 4K Front and Rear Dash Cam, and I’m really impressed with what it offers. From build quality to video performance and ease of use, this dash cam punches well above its price point. The package includes the main front unit, a compact rear camera, mounting gear, power cable, and even a pry tool for neat cable installation — a thoughtful touch that made setup much smoother. It also comes with a detailed manual that walks you through installation, settings, and usage.Installation was straightforward. The front camera attaches to the windscreen via a solid adhesive mount, and the rear cam can be mounted inside the rear window. Running the wire along the headliner and under trim panels took about 30 minutes in total, and the included tools helped a lot. Power is drawn via the car’s 12V outlet, though there’s an option to hardwire it for full-time parking monitoring. In terms of video quality — this is where the EY02 shines. The front camera records in true 4K, and the footage is impressively clear, even in varied lighting conditions. You can easily read number plates, road signs, and fine details. Night vision is also excellent — bright headlights and streetlamps don’t blow out the image, and even low-lit roads are well captured. The rear camera records in 1080p and is perfect for capturing what’s happening behind you. It’s wide enough to cover all lanes and provides good detail for accidents or reversing footage. The dash cam includes loop recording, G-sensor collision detection, and parking mode — all of which work reliably. I tested the parking mode with a hardwire kit, and it captured a bump during the night perfectly.Navigation through the menu is easy via the LCD screen, and settings include resolution control, date/time stamp, watermark toggle, and audio recording. The camera uses microSD cards (Class 10 or U3 recommended), and swapping them out is easy thanks to a side-mounted slot.A small but welcome bonus is voice feedback — when recording starts or stops, the device gives a clear audible prompt, so you’re never guessing if it’s working. If I had to nitpick, it’s that the rear camera isn’t waterproof — so it’s meant for inside mounting only, which may not suit all users. Also, the screen is small, so you won’t use it for playback much — but that’s what the SD card and a PC are for.Overall, the IIWEY EY02 4K Dash Cam is a top-tier product at a mid-range price. Superb video quality, reliable features, and easy setup make it an excellent investment for any motorist. Highly recommended.

V.Good for the price! Fit and forget dashcam.
Bought this when it's true price was £76. It is now £90 with 15% off, which... = £76. So that tell you everything you need to know about marketing. 🤔That aside, the camera visually looks good, especially when mounted, (doesn't look like a traditional "camera" stuck on a mount). It's relatively small, easy to hide the cables, and attaches to the screen by a sticky mount that itself sticks to an included clear static pad. (Think phone screen protector that goes on your windscreen first) which makes it really easy. It's all plastic construction, but I would think all dashcams are. The setup was really easy, and it came with a micro SD card (iiwey branded). It seems that some folk don't like the app, or how it communicates, but it depends what you want your dashcam to do.If you want a dashcam that sits in your window, records the drive, and you usually only access the recordings in case of an accident - then this does that and more.If you want an action camera that you constantly want to download the drives, for YouTube or whatever, then maybe the app isn't the best. It's a dashcam for £75, not a social media £1k setup. The camera links to your phone as it has no screen , via a phone app. The way it does this is by creating it's own WiFi connection with your phone. So once setup, all you do is open the app, press connect, it should open your phone's WiFi - select the iiwey WiFi connection - and thats it.Hardly too much trouble, and takes seconds. You can then view all the recordings on your phone, you can download them to your phone for viewing away from the car. And remember, you can always remove the micro SD and put it in your computer. The image quality clames to be 4k and use a Sony starvis sensor - wether this is true or not, I don't know, but I can say that the image quality is very good both day and night from the front camera, tha rear camera being average but useable. Speech is recorded clearly. With so many, many dashcams out there at the mo, you pay your money and take a chance. All in all, for £75, I'm impressed. I will be buying iiwey again - especially as the next version up, the EY05 is now on for £100, essentially the same unit but has GPS and voice commands to take photos and lock video.Recommended.
